My wife and I are headed from Phoenix to NYC for our first trip to see our son who moved there in April. You may imagine that, living in the desert, we don't have a wealth of cold weather clothes and I was in dire need of a good warm coat. This looked like it would fit the bill and the price was great, so I took the plunge. Wow, am I ever pleasantly surprised!! This is a 'mid-weight' coat (think Mama bear), but once I had it on, there was no doubt it was going to do the job. The lining is very comfortable and undoubtedly warm. The construction is sturdy and the zipper is industrial class. The warmer pockets are roomy, the hood (lined with the same 'fur' as the jacket) is very comfortable and has draw strings to make it snug in the wind. Additionally, the hood zips off if you don't happen to need it at the moment. I can't tell yet if it's wind proof and water resistant as the manufacturer claims, but given that the rest of the description is 'on target', my guess is that it will be. I usually wear a large, but the comments led me to believe I should step down a size which I did. They were right. I ordered a medium and there's still enough room for bundling up inside the coat. Bottom line....a really well made, great, comfortable coat for a great price!

I loved the fur on the inside. It kept me warm while I was in the snowy weather. It is durable, lightweight, has a zipper and it’s hooded for your convenience.! After you wash it can smell like your favorite detergent!

I wear it over a hooded sweatshirt to the barn and around the farm. It is light weight and adequate for 15 degree temps. The inside lining is soft and warm. There is a pocket on the inside of the coat and two on the outside with zipper closings. The outside material is a stiff poly that makes noise similar to the old ski pants. As a woman 5'3" I found that size small in mens provides extra room for several layers of clothes (shirt, pullover, hooded sweatshirt) and was comfortable for me. The coat appears to be well made.

I was sceptical of ordering this for husband because I didn't want to end up with a strange light grey color - something that doesn't look like ad. I was also concerned that the jacket would be flimsy like a windbreaker and/or cheap looking fabric. So glad I took a chance! The color is even better than expected, in different lighting color almost looks like a very light tan as you can see from my second photo I compared it to a medium shade of grey t-shirt. Fabric is so nice, it took 15 minutes to steam out the wrinkles from packaging, jacket is very well constructed, medium to heavy weight with the fur lining inside arms too. Love that hood is removable and cuffs are adjustable. Ordered an X- large for 190pounds, 5'10" as he has long torso and will want to wear sweatshirts underneath for extra warmth, fit is perfect! Fantastic quality, price and shipping was less than 2 days. So very happy I chose the right jacket, you won't be disappointed!

I bought this a size bigger and I think that helped. It was comfy and warm and did the trick in the winter time. It has some zipper pockets which helped keep my thing safe and secure.

This is a cold to extreme cold weather jacket. As others have mentioned, it does come one size larger. For those who plan to use it for extreme cold weather, this allows you to "layer" other clothing under the jacket. For those who do not wish to do this, order one size smaller. Pros: 1. Warm 2. Large for size - Allows layering of clothes 3. Water Resistant 5. Economically Prices Cons: 1. Does not breath well (reason why it's warm - well insulated)(also reason for water resistance) 2. Large for size -buy one size smaller if you do not plan to layer 3. Some loose threads and fur lining - so far hasn't affected integrity of jacket. Overall excellent purchase for the price.

This jacket is beyond warm! It worked great in 10 degree temps with 20 mph winds! Fit really well and held up great this season. The color is more tan which was fine. My husband loved it and will use it next season too. I also, ordered this for my teen in the dark grey. He loved it and it looked great.

I needed to replace my old snowboarding jacket and Amazon had this jacket for a very reasonable price. Although I didn’t need anything fancy, this jacket came with many useful features. Oversized exterior pockets with zippers to keep things secured. These two pockets were large enough to keep my snowboards in. The jacket also had a pocket inside the left lapel, which is great for holding a cellphone or wallet. Although I didn’t use it for either because the pocket didn’t have a Velcro or zipper flap to secure its content. The adjustable Velcro straps on the sleeves help keep my snow gloves tucked inside the sleeve and keep the snow out. The removable hood is also nice because it makes the jacket a bit less bulky. This jacket doubles as a rain jacket as well with its water resistant material. Most importantly, this jacket is very warm.
