Update after 6 months: I originally purchased two of these batteries. After about 6 months, one of them is now continuously flashing during the charging process - doesn't get fully charged. I contacted the dealer, described the status, and received a refund for the one battery in a very professional and timely manner. Original Review: I've used these for about a month in my Canon 7D MkII. While I haven't done a scientific comparison, they are working fine as an additional set of batteries which was my hope when purchasing. The camera reads their charge level and number of exposures - which is the same as for the Canon batteries; and they readily charge in the Canon charger with no apparent differences. It's too soon to speak about their longevity, but for the price difference, they are an outstanding option and have met my needs. ... show more

    • Good battery missing a convenience feature
The battery works great. I deducted 1 star because of the label on the underside. The yellow battery cover has a little battery cutout that can be used to distinguish charged batteries from discharged batteries. My method is to place the battery so that no color is shown through the cutout when the battery has been discharged. That way I know which battery needs charged. The label on this battery is 1 color (white) across the whole underside of the battery so you cannot flip the battery in the yellow cover to show whether it is charged or not. I remedied this by using a black sharpie to mark a spot on the label, but I wish the battery came with a two-color label (one half white and one half black). ... show more

Pros: • inexpensive • charges in OEM Canon charger • holds charge when out of camera • works in 6D when charged Cons: • dumps its charge quickly once in camera This battery looks like and acts like the Canon lp-e6 battery when fully charged. With it's low price in comparison, it seems like a viable alternative to the spendy Canon battery. However, once in the camera, it fails to maintain its charge like the factory battery and will drain to completely empty within 8 - 10 hours with the camera turned off. It works in a pinch to fill in for an OEM battery at the end of a shoot, but turn the camera off with it still showing a full charge and it is fully dead by morning. The Canon lp-e6 will hold its charge for weeks in camera but not this knock off. I'm going back to the Canon batteries despite their cost because they just work. ... show more

The battery seems to work fine and the price point is excellent. My advice is to try it, you will definitely like it. Also, I did not have to monitor delivery... they did it for me with personal emails tracking the delivery for me. Let me end by saying, if there was an Academy Award for Best Customer Service their name would be in lights each and every year. ... show more

    • Excellent replacement for Canon OEM LP-E6
Using my Canon 5D Mk III I would rate this battery as excellent. This battery shows the remaining capacity, the shutter count, and recharge performance as expected. In addition my camera shows that I can register the battery to keep track of its performance. I recently used this battery at a sporting event and after 600 frames the battery shill showed 50% capacity - which I feel is a good job. I am not using the OEM Canon battery charger for this battery but I am using STK's Canon LP-E6 Battery Charger. Because this battery is 2500 mAh I feel that the STK charger will do a better job of giving the battery a full charge. Over the past couple of years I have purchased numerous expensive Canon OEM LP-E6 batteries and I find that they don't last very long. Based on how this battery has performed so far I am planning to purchase more of the Indie Camera Gear batteries. ... show more

I haven't had a whole lot of time to do extensive testing on this battery, but so far it's a winner. The Battery comes partially charged, but I topped it off as soon as I got it. Charging went fine used it for a few shots (Maybe 125 or so )Seems to hold a charge similar to the Canon battery. I have absolutely no issues with this battery at all. As I get more shots with the battery I'll update, until then I feel that you can buy and use with confidence. ... show more

    • Better than Polaroid, still worse than original
Really good price, tho the capacity with my original Canon battery is about 1400 (tested by me) pictures, and with this only can take about 1100 under same conditions. (also tested the Polaroid version, and it was the worst, with 900 pictures each recharge)
