I guess for the price this is expected, as the adhesive does not look to be weatherproof. I applied the patch as instructed by making sure it was clean. Applied the tape and after it rained the next night, it didn't leak, but it started to un-stick itself on the underside.

I used this to try and repair a small seam separation on a retractable home awning. I used the tape above and below (both sides) of the separation. With a matter of days the tape was peeling away from the fabric on both the bottom and top. Maybe it would work in thin nylon but did not hid for even a brief period on the fabric of the awning. This tape is worthless. It is flexible packing tape. So if your surface is not flat and totally smooth, it won’t stay down. It will pull up at th edges and it’s done. Once it touches a surface if it lifts up it won’t stick again. It’s not very sticky to begin with. Save your money, or get something better than this. Lame ... show more

    • Worked great - has stayed waterproof and survived 120 degree days
Needed this to patch together some awning material on a shade for the dog and it was 100% the fix. Put it on in May and it's survived a month of 110+ sunny days. Stayed put, survived a few rain showers without issues. Be sure what you're patching is clean and dry before applying. Apply firmly when you put it on. Follow up a few days later with a few more seam-presses (with your hands or even better, with something weighted). You could also hit it with a heat gun if you're applying in the winter or during cooler days. The entire outdoors was a heat gun this summer, so no need to apply more. Just helped it stick better. Very happy and have plenty left for the next job. Five stars! ... show more
