- Comes very well packaged in a large thick cardboard box. Individual pieces of the safe are further shielded inside with styrofoam and cardboard. Everything was in excellent condition. - Instructions were easy enough to follow. I assembled the entire safe on my own in about 30 minutes. It is easier with two people, but definitely doable alone. The front piece / door is the heaviest part. Aligning the pieces was probably the hardest thing. I used a drill to get screws in place quickly and then hand-tightened with screwdriver to avoid over torquing. - The access panel is surprisingly well done. The fingerprint sensor registered easily and works very well on the first try each time. I also added a 4-digit passcode as a back up. The instructions for this part took a bit of studying, but everything works. - The locking mechanism is quite sturdy and there are bolts that actually lock on top, side and bottom of the door, so it is really strong and not easy to pry open. - There is even a backup battery pack that connects to the lock from the outside, as a way to open the safe if the batteries inside it were to discharge. It also comes with two keys, which work flawlessly. - The storage space is ample, especially with the shelves and additional shelf pockets on the door itself. - There are holes on the back of the inside of the safe to allow mounting to the wall. I'm super impressed with the quality of this gun safe at this price point. It was very easy to assemble with pre-drilled holes. It's quality steel and highly durable. It did not take long to put together and the directions are very straightforward. Once assembled, it can easily fit up to about 12 rifles, but there is versatile storage space for pistols or whatever else up top. You can literally unlock this safe in 2 seconds with the biometric feature and I appreciate that it has an alarm system for anyone attempting to open who it was not set up for. Is this the most high tech structurally sound thick and impenetrable safe ever? No. But for the price, it does what it needs to do. It keeps the guns away from friends and family and out of the hands of people they don’t need to be in. Compared to our other safe, the sides are thin. There is no weather or temperature control by way of padding on the sides. It’s just metal. But if you need a way to lock your guns safely, this is it. I bought this 10-15 biometric cabinet a little while ago and out of the box: it looks way nicer in person than the photos. The matte finish and clean lines give it a low-profile. Assembly was easier than I thought, it took my son in law about 25 minutes, he used an electric drill, but there’s a screwdriver included; the unit is heavy duty, it feels sturdy when you move it into place. The biometric reader is the main feature and, it works very well. Programmed my prints quickly and most of the time it pops right open on the first try. If my hands are greasy or wet it can take a bit, but a quick wipe and it’s fine, but that’s true of most fingerprint systems. There’s also a backup access method in the package. The removable shelf is a real winner. I like that I can reconfigure things depending on how many things I’m storing. The interior padding/lining (mine came with a felt-like lining) helps keep things from scratching down. There’s decent vertical space and the whole layout makes it easy to keep things organized rather than stacked on top of each other. Build quality feels solid for the price point. Hinges are sturdy and the door sits flush. If there’s a gripe, it’s that the manual could be clearer about programming details, I spent a few minutes reading through it to find the step-by-step for adding/removing fingerprints. Overall I’d say this is a great value if you want a tidy, fingerprint-accessible locker that looks good in the room and gives you easy, organized access. It’s not flashy, it’s practical, and the removable shelf plus interior layout make it versatile. If you want something that blends in and keeps things neat and accessible, this did the job for me. First, it arrived quickly, shipped for free via FedEx. Second, packaging was excellent, all parts were well protected and undamaged. Yes, it comes unassembled, read the description, not fair to deduct stars for that. Assembly, while a bit of a chore, was easy and the instructions are excellent. Do not used the provided screwdriver, it is crap, throw it away. Also, do not use the provided wall anchors, they are crap, throw them away. I am deducting half a star for the screwdriver and anchors. Once assembled it's hard to tell it's an RTA cabinet. I think it's probably best to anchor the cabinet to a wall as the door is heavy and it will tip forward when empty. Probably not a problem when it is full of guns though. The key lock, touch pad and fingerprint lock all work very well. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase and I happy that I chose it over the Harbor Freight cabinet I was eyeing. Also, this is not a true safe but it's pretty darn secure and functional especially for something at this price point. ... show more

Fairly impressed with this safe. I don't know that I'd want to squeeze more than 3 or 4 rifled in it, but it's very well built and functional given the low cost. The fingerprint sensor works very well, but there is also a backup code, external battery port, and physical keys as a last resort in case there is an issue with access. Gun rest and top shelf adjustability are both good, and the door shelves are handy for storing magazines (I found that adding a strip of foam is helpful to hold things in place when opening the door). I suppose a persistent thief could found their way in with the right tools, but it's certainly sufficient to keep kids and curious guests away from the goods. ... show more

Delivery was on time, directions were very simple. Electric screwdriver made quick work of it. Nice size, very spacious, listed for 12-15 and with similar size rifles it would. If you have any AR style rifles it would be more like 8-10. Fingerprint, password all worked well for set up. Only thing that took a minute to figure out is how to get the keypad to stay lit up. No longer an issue. Also not sure what I need to do for the LED light to light up. Instructions didn’t reference it. Nice gun cabinet, not a safe per se. ... show more
