It works fine but I wish the eyes were a little bigger. If you’re using a big pan, it doesn’t cook evenly. The controls are touchy. It would be nice if you had to hold the button for two seconds to turn the eye on rather than accidentally turning it on.

Very impressed with this product! It arrived so fast and was packaged quite well. Easy installation, it looks so good with lots of heating options for a variety of pot sizes, as well as being very sturdy. Touch screen makes for easy cleanup. I bought this to take with me while I travel to save on lodging and food costs. So far so good!

We had to replace our old cooktop due to a severe thunderstorm. A tree on the main road bounce multiple times off power lines causing high voltage surges that fried the cooktop's electronics. We went to the area stores that sell appliances and none of the stores stocked the cooktops. Most of the stores we would have to order and wait 10 days for delivery. So we took a chance and ordered from Amazon. The Karinear cooktop was more than $300 less than the store brands. The cooktop arrived 3 days after ordering. The packaging was sound and there were no issues with the delivery. The cooktop installation was simple with no issues. As long as your counter top opening is parallel to the backsplash and has at least 3/16" on all sides it will be a simple drop-in and the sideclips on the cooktop will hold it in place. The low height off the cooktop allowed me to place a standard cabinet with a drawer with no modifications. The co cooktop's additional burner is great if you need a very large kettle to straddle two burners to boil water for bottling preserves. We have been using the cooktop for 3 months and had three similar issues with trees bouncing off the power lines creating surges. We have had no issues and are happy with the purchase.

I bought if few month ago, but just installed few days ago (doing big remodeling). Was very exited finally have my kitchen functioning.... Now I have my new cookware warped as apparently big burner only heat smallest circle... Can't contact manufacture directly: only via Amazon. I sent message to Amazon, waiting for reply....Will update review/rating according to the result. I was sent new unit. It is a little better, but not close to what they advertised and pictured. Big burner heat little circle and a little the middle one....

The counter top is working great. The problem comes with the wiring diagram. It shows a 5 wire cable coming from the cook top and 4 wires from the house supply. Well the cook top has only 3 wires, green, black and white. House wiring is green, black, white and red. You would assume that you would just match colors, white to white, black to black and green to green, leaving the red unconnected. Well you know the old saying when you ass u me. Wiring that way did have the counter top come on but none of the burners got very hot. After a lot of time, research and prayer I wouldn't burn the house down. I took the counter top white and put it to the house red and left the others color matched. This left the house white unconnected. Now the counter top is working as it should. It looks nice and works great. Would have been a 5 star if not for the wiring issues.

I bought this as a replacement for a two burner that I had purchased six years ago and used daily. Unfortunately, the other one wasn’t available so I had purchased this one. It was actually easier to install in the first one as the cord is in the back and not in the front. Hopefully it will last just as long.
