I love blocks and wanted something to build with my kids. I wanted to get it done in one setting and there is zero chance that is going to happen. Not because it's hard , but because of the detail. It's neat seeing all of the connecting rods and pistons. It is broken out into 5 sets of bags. I can get about one set per night. I am about half way through. The instructions are good and use clear orientations. Great way to introduce your teen to engineering drawings and mechanical principals.

Really nice engine building set. Got this as a gift for a boy passionate of cars and engines. He built it after school in 2 days. The building set comes with a huge amount of pieces and even with two boys working on it, it was a long process. I was informed that the instructions were clear and easy to follow though. I started putting this V8 engine kit together last week, during short breaks while working from home. It turned out to be a relaxing project. The instruction book is surprisingly clear, the pictures make it easy to see where each piece should go. I just opened one bag at a time, the way the parts were sorted helped a lot. Even when I was tired, I could still follow the steps without getting confused. The pieces fit well, the whole thing feels steady once sections start coming together. The best moment so far has been seeing the pistons move after finishing the core section. It’s oddly satisfying watching something you built start “running,” even though it’s just a model. I still have a bit left to assemble, the experience has been fun, almost like a small break from everything else. I’m looking forward to finishing it and trying both the manual and electric modes.
