    • Surprisingly good sound quality and quite comfortable
My readers know that I favor larger, over the ear headphones and these are no exception. They are large, comfortable, and what's more important, they have cloth earmuffs instead of faux leather ones. This significantly reduces the ear sweating and makes usage comfortable. Audio quality is also good, in fact, quite good and on par with much more expensive over the ear headphones. To compare with existing headphones, these sound a lot like the famous Koss Porta Pro - strong, but not overwhelming bass, good mids and normal highs. But unlike the Koss headphones, these provide far better sound isolation. In fact, their passive isolation is almost as good as active isolation of some well known brands! So let me break down my impressions by subject: Wear comfort - 9 of 10. Very comfortable, no ear sweating, no headaches. I especially like the volume adjustment - it is done via conventional dial, no need to use buttons, so you can instantly dial the required volume. The minor drawback is a weight - I'm adult and weight makes no difference for me, but my 10 year old daughter noticed the weight. Sound quality - 7 out of 10. As I wrote above, these sound much like Koss Porta Pro headphones, which become a golden standard for portable headphones in last 40 years. But highs are not so clear and detailed as they could be. A little bit of EQ helps a lot. Connectivity - 7 of 10. These headphones can be connected in 3 ways - via the bundled dongle (It is NOT bluetooth dongle, it is a USB soundcard, based on Realtek solution), via Bluetooth or via wired connection. Multi-point connection is not supported, so you need to disconnect from one source to switch to another. Bluetooth codec is SBC, and this is quite noticeable. Wired connection, especially when paired with better quality audio source, delivers much better sound. Anyways, there is no noticeable sound delay or audio lagging either when using bundled dongle or bluetooth connection. For the battery life, I can't say much about, since I use them at daily basis (5-6 hours of total use) and by the end of the day, I leave them for charging overnight. Overall, for the asking price of $40, these are excellent pair of headphones, with great comfort and good sound quality. ... show more

A great pair of headphones. Sound rich,balanced, comfortable, versatile, well-built, and feature-packed.Great design and amazing quality. Decent budget models, the best headphones.and can say they definitely work and feel comfortable. I was really loving these headphones and was using them on a daily basis. I will say the noise canceling was pretty good and the audio also best, like I could immediately hear a difference in the sound quality when I first used these. If anyone is thinking of investing on a pair of good headphones I would suggest the KAPEYDESI Wireless Gaming Headset, which are not expensive but after using them for about 2 weeks now, I have not had any issues with them including any of the issues I had with these Boise headphones. You do still need to download an app to first pair them (gag) but its fine with just having it on my phone. So in his words: "the pressure that holds the headsets its mainly around the ears, not on top of the head, which is great cause I dont want to have the "gamer dent" in the head". But still has support from the head part to help last on those long gaming sessions. Sound block while off is not total, once its connected it blocks everything from the outside, windows surround and advanced audio capable. The bass is great and not overwhelming, it mixes the mids and lows very well for a clear audio while not compromising the highs. Battery on use with the receiver goes around 10 to 13 hours, on bluetooth 9 to 11 hours, while it was not tested in one round but in 3 days session, looks like its fast charge since in 2 to 3 hours is full and ready to go. Multiconnectivity with all consoles and devices, wireless or wired, no excuses and no need to travel with different headphones in the backpack to connect depending on console. The only thing I would want to know is where can I get a travel case that fits perfect this headset? ... show more
