Bought this for the lower level sitting room in a smaller split level house I bought as a guest house for our lake house. Alternatives were some sort of traditional stand, which would have put the screen below optimal viewing level (which is higher than most people think) and introduced clutter, or a wall mount, which would have left the problem of where to put the sound bar and Blu-ray/streaming device. This stand gave me the unfussy simplicity I was looking for, allowing me to put the Blu-ray/streamer on the lower shelf and to mount the sound bar on the top shelf (using "3M Dual Lock Self Adhesive Tape Reclosable Fasteners", which are like super Velcro, and no, I do not work for 3M nor do I hold 3M stock, but man it is great stuff). Assembly is easy and requires only an Allen wrench (provided) and Phillips screwdriver (not provided). The stand is strong and solid. And you can easily move it for cleaning or to fiddle with the wiring. The casters are not essential and could be left off for a more domestic look, but you would then sacrifice mobility. For scale, the TV shown is 58" diagonal measure, with actual dimensions 51" wide by 30" high. Center of screen is 57" (145 cm) above the floor. As the photo shows, no wires are visible, because there is an electrical outlet about 65" above the floor and a CAT-6 outlet I installed at the same height. However, the vertical tubes have access holes in the rear that allow you to thread power wires and cables through them to conceal wires if you have electrical and CAT-6 outlets near the floor, so not to worry if that is your situation. To avoid confusion the sound bar's wireless subwoofer is not shown in the photo, but in actual use is positioned on the floor behind the stand, where there is ample room for it. ... show more

As an engineer, I appreciate the construction quality of the product. It has a load capacity of 100 pounds, which is more than enough for most consumer grade TV sets. Packaging: The unit comes in a 53 pound flat box. The "up end" was along an edge, so I had no problems storing it against a wall; until I got the TV. Opening the box though, is another matter. You need an UNCLUTTERED floor space of about 25 square feet, just to open the box, and remove its contents. And about 40 square feet to safely assemble the product and mount the TV. If you live in a small apartment; be prepared to rearrange your furniture, when you put this thing together! Parts Identification: All of the parts are (for the most part) identifiable, when called out for in the instructions. Smaller parts, such as screws and washers, are pre-packaged in lettered pouches. It pays to go through the packing list at the start of the instructions, because the assembly instructions are "pictorial only," and it really helps to know what a part actually looks like; versus its pictorial rendering. Assembly Instructions: As stated, the instructions are pictorial in nature. It helps for you to layout the parts on the floor, in the same order shown in the packing list. Sometimes, the pictorial rendering of a required part are shown in a perspective that is unrecognizable from the actual part. If you are spatially challenged, pay someone to assemble this for you. Caveats: There are 8 ways to mount the two vertical brackets, to the back of a TV; but ONLY 1 WAY is correct. I also recommend attaching your cables to the back of the TV, ***BEFORE*** hanging it on the stand's horizontal support bar. Lots of Spare Parts: Because TV mounting hardware is not standardized, a wide assortment of different sized screws, washers, and spacers is provided; so you will have the greatest possible chance of being able to attach the vertical mounting brackets to the back of the TV. Gripes: The tube clamps for the plastic tray are too loose for the upper (telescoping) vertical support posts. This limits the maximum height of the tray. ... show more

I saw some bad reviews here and lots of good reviews. Decided to give a shot. Arrived on time in good condition. Assembly was easy. Very sturdy and the fairly large wheels work great. My 70" LED TV (light though) mounts perfectly (larger than that would not fit). Looks and feels high quality product. Definitely not flimsy and no missing parts as some reviewers experienced. My only complaint is they used cheap plastic on a few parts, mainly the extender washers, and the tray. The tray is plastic, but it's held firmly in place by metal couplings and 2 metal bars. The plastic washers were not good. I broke one when screwing in one screw, but luckily they have many extras in case this happens. So try not to screw it in super tight. These 2 areas should be looked at by the company and improved, so my 2 cents. Also, there isn't really any good way to have speakers connected to this thing, so expect to get a soundbar or something small as the shelf probably doesn't support the weight of a subwoofer. I have some speakers but I have to set them on a desk near it. However, this this is amazing overall. It's Heavy, my 55" TV I have no feeling it will fall over, if anything my anxiety is more of if my tv will fall from the brackets securing it in place. Moving it around is nice and sturdy. You have plenty of room for cable management also. Not much room for placing stuff, but I'd recommend attaching a powerstrip at the base like I did, then you just have 1 cable to unplug when you move it. I was able to secure it nicely down with some twisty ties. Shelf works perfect for an Xbox One, like I have in the picture. ... show more

I bought this for a bedroom TV. My wife has poor vision. We have an 8 foot projector in the family room and a 55 TV inch for the second bed room which my wife uses when the projector is not running. This is amazingly sturdy. We would have no trouble moving it from room to room if needed. There is no chance of this tipping over. It might not fit your decor for a livingroom if you are particular about style but if you are looking for something sturdy to hold a large TV, this is it. You wont end up on Funny Videos because your cat tipped it over. ... show more
