I have had the Cowboy for about one month (Jan-Feb) in east-central Minnesota. It's been a bit chilly, but I have been easily able to keep up with plowing the farmyard, and driveways that access my property, even when it is -25F outside. The vehicle arrived with an 80% charge and was ready to go right away. I have pulled a full size truck with it, used the winch to self recover after getting stuck in a snowdrift, and piled the bed high with pallets and footlockers to haul to storage. Incidentally, the bed is just wide enough to set a standard size wooden pallet, pretty nice! Had some trouble getting the doors to latch properly because of the coating on the latch bar, but it resolved itself after a couple days. One of the screws on the skid plate had the head stripped so it was a challenge to remove for snowplow installation. The plow has five angles to choose from and is easy to adjust, along with two ground skids that are also pretty simple to adjust, though these are both manual adjustments, while raising and lowering are accomplished with the winch. I will try to remember to post an update with a video at some point after a full year of farm use!

The roof blew off while trailering to use the vehicle for the first time. Upon further research, other buyers have had cracking and defective roofs straight from the factory. I've received zero response on a warranty claim made two weeks ago and the response from a rep I'd been in contact with between order and delivery states "this is a transportation issue and not covered by warranty" and that the roof "should be highly secured when transported." I kindly explained that no other UTV (Polaris, Kawasaki, CANAM, Honda, etc) has to have their roof secured to ride on a trailer to the location of desired use.

I made previous comment about not receiving a title. Kandi quickly sent one once they read my review. The delivery was quick and flawless, into my rural driveway in perfect condition. My place is very hilly with few flat areas. The UTV has no problem with the terrain. There is no park position on the gear switch so I use the parking brake anytime I park. The accelerator pedal takes some getting used to. I push half-way down before it starts to accelerate, then it zooms away. A loud pop on the right side when I cross a ditch is the only possible defect I have so far found. The digital display, an older android tablet, has the potential to be useful if I can figure out how to install apps. The lithium battery is impressive. I am happy with the purchase so far but haven't had it long enough to vouch for quality, so far so good. Adding to this review, I found a loose screw that may be responsible for the loud bank when crossing rough terrain. Since I had the screw driver in hand, I decided to explore the 12v battery access under the "hood". After removing 9 screws, i found the fuses, brake fluid reservoir, battery and headlight access. The hood was attached with flimsy clips and two of the screws were against the windshield and difficult to remove. In an otherwise reasonably designed vehicle, hard to understand why the hood was not hinged.

The Kandi Cowboy is not a golf cart, it is legit UTV. I was thrilled to see it on Amazon! It was delivered to my condo complex in a box truck and I tested it for several week on the flat fields near my place. It was smooth and zippy. Super responsive steering and almost silent on the grass. I got it up to 39 MPH on the pavement. I bought the unit to assist me with habitat restoration projects on my rugged backcountry land where the roads are all steep and rocky. It handles the deep ruts with no issues and hauled a full bed of gravel up a 500 ft elevation incline with ease. My son particularly likes the dump bed and we look forward to testing the winch. I am using a generator to change it and its no problem. Typical EV charger with 110v outlet plug option. Charges as fast as it should for the size and number of batteries. The Kandi customer service team was super responsive and incredibly helpful on two different occasions. The unit came sooner than expected and delivery was easily coordinated. This UTV is a great deal! If you need more assurances, then be sure to check out the ebikeschool review on youtube.

Absolutely terrible quality in the components they use. I had mine for just under a year and so far the control module has failed, the bed lift motor has failed, the display screen has started to glitch, and one of the drive motors is putting out less power. To add insult to injury, Kandi is refusing to honor their warranty and instead sends me instructions on how to fix myself and links to buy new parts... for a machine that's less than a year old!!! This company will not be in business long - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS MANUFACTURER

Exactly what I needed to get around on my hilly property. Love the electric dump bed. This has made so many of my chores so much easier, and dare I say, fun. Great that I don't have to deal with fuel containers either. It shipped quickly and purchasing on Amazon couldn't have been easier.
