The media could not be loaded. Light went off after 5 months of use (on and off). The look of the water flowing through the lotus flower with the subtle light. Now that the light is not working , it lost its charm. The light was on when the fountain was plugged in. It doesn’t have a separate switch. That didn’t bother me because it’s a soft yellow light. I placed in a corner of my hallway and I can hear the sound of the water when the room is quiet, usually early in the morning. It’s important to follow the instructions before plugging in the first time. That improves the function of the pump. We can hear the pump louder than the water if there’s dust in the tank or if it is low in water. It’s small and fits perfectly in small spots. I leave it on at all times.
