Arrived in good condition. Easy to install the door handle. The racks hit the door seal when pulled out, so the door needs to be fully open and still you have to be careful pulling the racks out to prevent rubbing on the seal. I would prefer to be able to have all the bottles pointing the same way and the rack slats prevent the bottles from being close...except if every other one is opposite direction. Temp seems to stabilize well but there is no indication which temp indicator goes to which area (top or bottom). The manual does not even say. Just this web page. I think the light should come on when the door is opened, instead of requiring a push of a button. And the fan noise is noticeable in a quiet area, and basically never turns off. Good for temp control, but really, wine just needs a consistent temp, not exactly this or that. So if some bottles are 2 degrees warming than others, no big deal, but constant noise means you do not want the cooler in a living area. ... show more

We love our new Kalamera dual zone wine fridge. It fits perfectly in the cutout we created under our kitchen counter. We looked at several coolers of this size and price range, but most of them were slightly taller or wider than this one, so they wouldn’t fit in the space and were afraid that the lack of any clearance would hinder the cooler’s ability to cool properly. We had an initial issue, but the Kalamera customer service rep was exceptional to work with and we quickly resolved the issue. Delivery and installation went very smooth. Very strong packaging for protection. Main concern was noise level since it is near the family room. Fortunately, the unit is very quiet. Like the space proportion for the bottles - racks are easy to pullout. Dual temp is reasonably accurate. The only observation of concern, although a minor concern, is the unit does seem to run for longer periods of time. Unlike our refrigerator which runs in shorter timeframe and then shuts off, the wine cooler seems to run for longer periods of time - although fairly quite - shuts off and then runs again. Perhaps this is to keep a more constant circulation of air for cooling. That said, this seems to be a minor issue and overall, we really like the unit especially at the price and free delivery. ... show more

We originally purchased our wine fridge in August of 2018 and used it as a standalone for several years of reliable service. It looked great and maintained temperatures in the separate compartments well. It was a little bit noisy, but nothing that really interferred with TV or conversation (it was in our living room). We recently remodeled our kitchen and created a space to use the fridge as a built in. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks in the new location we noticed that it was running continuously and not cooling. We had a service technician look at it, who determined it was not repairable. Disappointed that we had just created a space for this fridge and now were without one, we first checked with Kalamera to see what options might be availabe. Even though it had been 6 years since our purchase, they offered a 50% discount on a new fridge. We were very pleased with this offer and were happy that we'd be able to keep the same fridge. The new fridge is working great, is much quieter than the original (we have to strain to hear this fridge running), and has all the same great features of the original. ... show more

    • Grinding sputtering sound on and off and never cooled past room temp

Received the 18 bottle wine cooler, followed the installation instructions then turned it on. Low and and behold, grinding and sputtering sound every three minutes. My room temperature was 73, and for hours, did not budged (set the desired temp for 55). I get that sometimes appliances pass inspection and get into new owners hands, but the problem here (even with free return) is that I live on the second floor, no elevators, no car -- hopefully, Amazon would get carrier to pick up, instead of me trying to get this to UPS - it's heavy, I only weigh 50# t. It was a total challenge to re-package this monster. Note: Contacted Kalamera customer service, they told me to send video of cooler with defective issues; I did, but they never responded, so I contacted Amazon and now trying to returned it. Also note: when I contacted Kalamera customer service BEFORE the sale, they were so responsive prior to ordering. They don't realize these reviews could cost them a bunch of sales. ... show more

    • The space between shelves is very narrow.

The refrigerator is very quiet and attractive. My I only complaint is that I had to remove a shelf to get standard sized bottles in. Consequently, I have bottles stacked on one another and some are lying sideways at the end of the shelf.
