It gets cold and stays cold. It's incredibly quiet when the compressor kicks on. It feels high quality as well. Getting it set up was quick and the packaging was incredibly simple. They made it so you just cut the straps and lift the box off. It fits a good amount of my vac sealed ground beef jerkies, veggies, and my seasoned chicken breasts and other raw vac sealed meats.
