Initial testing good. While not the cheapest option available, it is still quite reasonably priced and seems like a much more professional tool than the lower-priced options I tried. This unit has a relatively compact size, but still has a decent heftiness feel to it - I do not mean that it is heavy, just that it does not feel like a 50 cent plastic toy. Impressively, it comes with a real significant manual written in actual English (and many other languages too) instead of some Chinese gibberish. My one minor complaint is that the manual is just a bit too large to fit into the pocket in the case intended for storage. I solved this by just tearing the 24 page English section off the top of the manual, then folding it in half, but that should not have been necessary. Another notable feature is that the test leads come with tip covers that actually have real value. Instead of just completely covering the tips so that they have to be removed to use the meter at all, these leave the very ends of the tips exposed so that the leads can be used for many basic measurements with the covers left in place (such as a quick battery test). More than just convenience, these have the added value that if you need to measure something in a tight position where you are worried that the normally long and fully exposed tip might short out on something beside you intended measurement point, the lead cover proves extra protection. I'm not sure why most modern test leads come with full plastic covers anyway; what possible protection does a bare metal probe need in storage? The accuracy specs (from the manual) seem to be acceptable for a tool in this price range: DCV +-0.5%, ACV +-0.8%, Current +-2.5%, Resistance +-1.0%

Seems to be well made and has many, many outstanding functions. The DC clamp on amps setting was the main reason I bought this to monitor DC current flow in a new solar PV panel / controller / battery setup. Works perfectly and seems to be very accurate. ++UPDATE after 14 months++ Selector dial became very unresponsive after about 10-11 months. Display would not turn on or more likely would be on wrong function for the one selected. e.g. you would be on Volt selection but display would show Ohms or Temperature. Changing selector mode to Amps would show Volts or blank out the display. I would have to fanangle the selector switch countless times to get the display mode lined up with the actual selections made. Since it had a 3 year warranty was about to go that route and contact the seller. Could not find a website or how to contact seller other than an email address in Germany. Since I am a 50 year experienced electronics tech I just decided to take the meter apart and clean the contact area of the circuit board. This is where the selector switch makes contact thinking some oxidation / corrosion had impeded this area. Disassembly was very straight forward - about 9 phillips head screws in all to get the circuit board and ammeter clamp assy removed from case. I used contact cleaner and a tooth brush to clean the conduction traces on the circuit board where the selector switch copper brushes make contact. I also sprayed the copper brushes with cleaner. Careful - they are held in by a light friction bonding and you will have to reinstall them if they become dislodged. After reassembly the meter is now functioning perfectly again. All modes and display show exactly what the selector switch is set to. YMMV

This tool is really helpful in diagnosing shorts or small current leakage. I used it on my car to find where there was a circuit that did not turn off when the car was shut off and drained the battery down. You need a meter like this that has a DC current measuring capability. It is also good for finding broken or disconnected wiring in your house or equipment since it has both AC and DC measurement capabilities.

Bought this multimeter on a whim. Seems to be working great. Has more features than I expected at $30. My 2 benchtop power supplies are the only test equipment I could compare it to and it seems to be fairly accurate.
