It is exactly what I expected it to be. In my home, it is more about storage and organization than safeguarding access. I have no children at home and the safe is upstairs where few people will ever see it. Knowing I wanted it upstairs, weight was a major factor in choosing one of these budget safes due to the weight difference. This one weighed about 70lbs, so I could get it upstairs without assistance. It is not like a true safe. It needs to be assembled. The assembly was pretty straightforward, and I did it on my own in about an hour. It doesn't require a ton of mechanical expertise - the door and locking mechanism are pre-assembled - but the self-tapping screws can be a wrist-buster and are at an angle that makes using a drill difficult. It is bolted into a wood panel on the wall that I installed for stability in anchoring. It feels very sturdy and should hold up nicely until I outgrow it. The interior easily holds my three barrels and 4 pistols. I installed a couple of LED lights inside and it has been exactly what I was looking for, and a value, at $149.

The KAER 12-15 Gun Safe is solid and well-built. The digital keypad works smoothly and gives quick access when needed. it was easy to assemble and it’s super solid. the finger print lock seems to work great, haven’t had any issues. I would definitely recommend this safe to anyone looking for a solid budget safe. Mine came a little scratched up in a few places, and has a dent in the back. But still not a bad safe for the money.

Easy to assemble, which is a huge plus. I did it myself in less than an hour. Setting up the alarm was easy, too. There is plenty of room for 10 long rifles and ammo. The light is a very nice touch. It feels sturdy, not wobbly and thin. The walls are not flimsy sheet metal, it's a solid safe. Perfect for any valuables you want to secure. I like the look of it, it's sleek and would look good in any room you choose to place it. There were no rough edges to any of the metal, everything was smooth and finished. This is a great safe for a really good price.

We got this safe for my man for Christmas and it is absolutely perfect! The functionality of this gun safe is perfect! It does everything that we need and holds all of our handguns and rifles. We like the smaller size because it can fit into a nook inside of our room and is perfectly tucked away. The safe itself is extremely easy to use. It comes with a set of keys that you can use. Make sure that you have batteries on hand so that you are able to program the fingerprint scanner as well as set the code. It is very sturdy once it is all put together. Do not get discouraged along the way when you notice it is not sturdy. Once all the pieces are connected, it will stay exactly where it needs to. It is a bit heavy when it arrives and you might need two people to bring it in, but building it is definitely easier as a two person job. The only downside at all is that you do have to build portions of it from inside… So if you have claustrophobia or you are not a tiny person… Make sure you have one available and handy to help complete the top/sides

Not a safe its a locking cabinet. Panels were bent and door is warped. It does look good . But for price its ok. If you need something to keep guns away from kids its fine . But would be easy for someone to break in to. Its better than the one at harbor freight for 200 . If you want a safe buy a good one .
