It is exactly what I expected it to be. In my home, it is more about storage and organization than safeguarding access. I have no children at home and the safe is upstairs where few people will ever see it. Knowing I wanted it upstairs, weight was a major factor in choosing one of these budget safes due to the weight difference. This one weighed about 70lbs, so I could get it upstairs without assistance. It is not like a true safe. It needs to be assembled. The assembly was pretty straightforward, and I did it on my own in about an hour. It doesn't require a ton of mechanical expertise - the door and locking mechanism are pre-assembled - but the self-tapping screws can be a wrist-buster and are at an angle that makes using a drill difficult. It is bolted into a wood panel on the wall that I installed for stability in anchoring. It feels very sturdy and should hold up nicely until I outgrow it. The interior easily holds my three barrels and 4 pistols. I installed a couple of LED lights inside and it has been exactly what I was looking for, and a value, at $149.

it was easy to assemble and it’s super solid. the finger print lock seems to work great, haven’t had any issues. I would definitely recommend this safe to anyone looking for a solid budget safe. Mine came a little scratched up in a few places, and has a dent in the back. But still not a bad safe for the money.

Easy to assemble, which is a huge plus. I did it myself in less than an hour. Setting up the alarm was easy, too. There is plenty of room for 10 long rifles and ammo. The light is a very nice touch. It feels sturdy, not wobbly and thin. The walls are not flimsy sheet metal, it's a solid safe. Perfect for any valuables you want to secure. I like the look of it, it's sleek and would look good in any room you choose to place it. There were no rough edges to any of the metal, everything was smooth and finished. This is a great safe for a really good price.
