  • Not feeling hopeful.
Update: 06/12/2025 I totally forgot about updating my progress using these batteries in my Canon R5. The seller had reached out to me sometime ago to address my issues, but I hadnt seen their emails until recently when I was cleaning up my email inbox (check your junk/spam mail inbox!). By the time I finally read their emails and replied my issues with their batteries were no longer a concern to me, as they somehow corrected themselves. They were offering to help make things right, but my intent with my review was not to gain anything or ask for a refund, but to be viewed as my honest experience with their product. Their customer service is very good so if you have your own concerns/issues please reach out to them. While my initial experience with these batteries were similar to the several other reviews here I realized that, despite the fact the set I had would not show 100% after they were fully charged, they lasted longer than my OEM Canon batteries. I typically go to the zoo and walk around for hours while the camera is on and shoot on high burst mode. This would drain my Canon batteries quickly and I would have to switch them out. I didn't have to do that with these. In one of my most recent trips to the zoo I did manage to completely use up the energy in one of the batteries and eventually doing the same to the second battery during another trip. Their performance far exceeded my Canon batteries and did not hinder the burst mode. What did surprise me is that when I recharged these batteries (after fully draining them) the camera shows a different charge reading of 100% and 90%. My issue with them discharging when not in use doesn't seem to be happening anymore as I haven't used my Canon R5 (I primarily shoot Sony) in about a month and a half and both batteries still read at 100% and 90%. Thoughts: I've never heard of a break-in period for batteries before, but this seems to be the case with these and the communication with the camera. It seems you have to fully deplete/use up the energy in them for the camera to have a better understanding. Sounds wild, but I can't explain the change, but I do know that I am able to get more out of them despite the weird readings compared to my Canon batteries. Conclusion: (I might update this review again at either 6 months or 1 year of using them, if I can remember to do it, to review their longevity.) I am changing my rating from 3 stars to 5. I did get my money's worth as the batteries have outperformed my original Canon batteries and the seller's customer service (although I didn't require it) was top notch. My overall experience is great. (I'll post up some pics showing the battery life info on the camera later.) (Original post) I will track my experience with these batteries with updates. If you are one the fence about purchasing these perhaps my review could help you with your decision. The obvious: They are very well made. The textured finish is nice and rugged, and the white/gray color makes it a novelty. They fit inside my Canon R5 and the camera recognizes them so there aren't physical compatibility issues here. They are plug-and-play making charging them and inserting them into the camera effortless. I experience good feedback when plugging the USB-C into the charging port on the battery. 4/16/2025: Yesterday (4/15/25) I picked up my order from an Amazon locker. The shipping container was in great shape, the individual packaging the pair of batteries each came in were in great condition, and the batteries themselves looked new. (Mind you not "LPN"-new, so these weren't returns that were probably sent back because they were defective and then resold to someone else.) I managed to charge one of the two batteries that night. The indicator light on the battery turned green and so I disconnected the USB-C cable from it. The next morning I decided to pop said battery into my Canon R5 (first generation) and the battery indicator showed that it was one bar short of a fully charged battery. This was perplexing. I understand about compatibility issues, but with the way these batteries were advertised and how hardly any of the reviews mentioned it I ruled out that this might be the case and instead started wondering if the battery was draining/discharging fast without it being inserted into the camera. (I left it sitting on my nightstand, disconnected, but placed back in the plastic tray they are packaged with.) At work today I decided to recharge the first battery and when the indicator light turned green I disconnected the charging cable and began charging the second battery - all this before I left to go home. I got home about an hour ago and am getting ready to call it a night but decided to see what the camera shows regarding the condition of the batteries. Battery 1 (the first one that I managed to charge the night before and charge again while I was at work today) showed one bar short of a full battery and, under the menu item to show the actual percentage of battery life left, had a remaining charge of 64%. Battery 2, which was charged until the indicator light turned green, had 71% of energy left. None of the batteries were inserted into my camera until I got home an hour after they were both fully charged and yet had a significant loss of charge (36% and 29% respectively). To test whether or not the battery and camera were properly communicating with each other I shot a few frames on burst mode H+. I reviewed and counted the number of images the camera took and used the menu item to check the battery's condition - which listed the same number of shutter count as the photos recorded. This tells me that there is proper communication between the battery and camera so the battery life shown is more or less accurate of its current condition. Thoughts so far: I will test them again tomorrow morning. They are currently not inserted into my camera to rule out parasitic loss/drainage from the camera. Each battery is easily identified with how I've managed to keep them separated. I will report back with how much more of a loss of charge they've experienced. Current rating: 3 out of 5 stars. Reason: The batteries should be holding onto a charge longer and not lose 20%+ about an hour they were fully charged. Will probably report this issue to the seller. Check back for updates. ... show more

  • Works great!
Works great! Lots of power, no problems. Update 10-19-25-- two days shy of a year of ownership. Still great. Over 1000 shots every single charge on my 5d mark III. Far surpasses canon oem battery.

  • Bad buy
Since these batteries didn't go to 100% charge, but they went to 66% but they did last up to 1300 shots, with the camera left on for some time, and heat in Texas too, and the camera sat for a week also.. For a 5D MKII, the USB-C is a nice touch, charge on the go, to a location or in a hotel, the camera function is the same with an OEM battery Update... The batteries was at 17% would charge about 5-10 minutes.. Put the batteries in the camera... Still showed 17%...nothing but trash, steer clear of this brand, not worth it.. ... show more

  • Love USB-C charging. Battery last just as long as Canon brand.
I bought these for the ability to charge with a USB-C wire. Its a gamechanger and I don’t think I’ll ever look to buy another battery lacking this ability. Since buying these batteries, I’ve not used my canon branded battery once. It lives in my camera bag for a day when I need more than 2-batteries, and so far its not happened. I’m using my camera (Canon R7) heaviliy for shooting photos and video of my son’s sports. Two batteries easily last me through an entire day of games (3+ games). During this, I’ll have the camera on for 40-60 minutes each game and end up with hundreds of photos and/or 10-20 minutes of video clips. I’ve not done a careful test to compare these batteries to my canon battery that came with my camera. Subjectively, they seem to last about as long, and they definitely last longer than my other generic batteries that I had been using for years with my Canon 70D. I can’t speak to longevity yet, but over the course of one spring/summer sports season, I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Charged right up via a C cable.
These last about as long as the stock batteries, but are easier to use. I don't need a wall charger, and save a little room in my power kit. I have no problem with the fit and I use the pair in a grip. K&F really knocked this out of the park, again!

  • They seem to me pretty much as good as the original cannons.
These are a great value for the money. I just have trouble spending that much for the original Canon batteries and these seem to last just as long in the field and are very consistent in their use. However there are some things that I will only buy the original Canon for example the ef2 RF lens adapter. Found that out the hard way ... show more

  • Heads up: these do NOT work with the R5ii.
Canon has a put a firmware block on these batteries. When installed in an R5ii you’ll see an error message and then the camera will not function at all.

  • Batteries will not charge properly!!! Very disappointed and unreliable product.
I received the batteries and put them directly in the camera and they showed 77% & 74% charged. Battery health read 3 green bars. I returned the batteries to the charger provided and charged until light was green (a couple hours) which to me indicated a full complete charge. I returned them to the camera and they did not increase in charge beyond previous %. I used the batteries in my camera for a football game, and depleted them to 50% charge 2 bars. I returned them both to the charger for first 6hr, no change, then a diff outlet— another 6hr, no change. Switched out the block and charged overnight, again no change and the batteries reduces % charged to 45% and 44%%. After reading the reviews, I’ve noticed other folks with similar issue. I can not risk being stuck with batteries that don’t work properly or hold a reliable charge. I am very disappointed in this product. The only reason I gave them and extra star is because they did unlock the high speed continuous shooting feature on my Canon R6. ... show more
