I got this due to the ability to use it with your phone to take zoomed in pictures. I have to zoom my camera app in on my phone to avoid getting a round circle only. It is hard to keep the picture steady and not blurry since it is easy to blur with everything zoomed in. It does allow you to have a lot of zoom capability and you can see things that are far away.

This provides clear vision if I do not put my eye up to the lens, but hover it a bit away. Otherwise, I get a shadow. It took a couple of minutes to figure out how to adjust it and get a feel for it. The instructions don't provide much but does come in 6 languages. I had completely forgotten that you can set up your phone to it. This is what will take some practice to line up the camera lens to the monocular.

Sitting at our dining room table, eating breakfast, we can spot a new bird on our bird feeder, grab this monocular, and we are able to quickly and easily see the bird close up, noticing details that are just not visible without a little optical assist. I was expecting a lightweight, cheap telescope. Instead we got a solid, high-quality piece of optical equipment. It is really easy to hold, much more compact than binoculars so we can just leave it on our table and it doesn't look bad or take up significant space. The zoom allows it to really get up into a bird's face. As with any high-magnification lens, the stronger the magnification, the smaller the field of view, so you do need to hold it steady at high zoom to keep the image visible. It comes with an adapter for a cell phone to allow you to take photos using the monocular. It seems like a great idea and I suspect that once you get the camera lined up with the monocular it would work well, but I have not yet have the patience to get the alignment set correctly. I'm using a new Pixel 8 phone, with multiple lenses and sensors, so it is probably just a case of figuring out the configuration the first time. I'm confident it will work eventually, and it will allow me to get some great photos of birds and other distant objects. The kit also comes with a hand strap for easy one-handed use, allowing a tight grip while keeping your fingers free to adjust focus. There is a standard tripod mount socket. It has a removable dust cover for the eyepiece and an attached dust cover for the larger end. In all, a complete and very good quality product.
