I am by no means an expert at putting things together. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’m about a 4 or 5. Meaning I have to often undo and redo because of not following directions correctly. Having said that, in my opinion, on a complexity level I will give this a 7/10. Also if your home is less than 600 sq ft it’ll just make it more challenging to put together. I was spread out over the entire family room. It took me a very meticulous 3.5 hours from start to finish minus 15 minutes for correcting the inevitable mistake I made. I was initially prone to blame the instructions which are good but in some critical points not super clear, but in retrospect and honesty realized it was my error. However, if the manufacture is reading this, it would be very helpful if they would add a few sentences here and there to support some of the not-so-clear graphics. At the end I was left with multiple screws and other parts. So not sure maybe I screwed something up or these were just extra but everything looks well put together and seems to be working fine. I have not put any pics because you can see it right here and it is exactly as shown. This product after put together if you have to buy it assembled in a store will be not less than $400 - $700. I know because I looked for months before I decided to tackle the challenge of assembling one myself. My advice - have a friend help.

Absolutely love this cabinet. It is perfect for the space and intention we had for it. It was fairly easy to assemble, it did take some extra tools that did not come with the product. Also, do not use or use with caution a drill. The particle board splits easily. The only slight complaint I have is that it is slightly off white, so it doesn’t quite match the rest of the furniture in the room, but since it’s sitting in a corner by itself it’s not as noticeable.

ASSEMBLY My husband and I are both adept at following directions and putting things together. Putting this cabinet together was an exercise in frustration that took both of us 3 hours to complete, which is a total of 6 hour…ridiculous. Totally not worth it. I wish I would have spent more money and just ordered a cabinet that was already put together from Wayfair. My husband had to look up videos on YouTube to figure out how to install the portions they were left out of the instructions. Very frustrating. FUNCTION Because the drawers are slightly too narrow, you cannot fit two separate rows of letter size hanging folders in each drawer, only one. In the photo on Amazon it looks like you can fit two rows, but they are actually sharing one rod, which is not functional. I had to order legal sized hanging folders to accommodate my paperwork going the opposite direction, but that means you can’t fit in as many files. Very frustrating. In addition, the drawers do not close well. If we hadn’t invested so much time putting the thing together I would have returned it. I regret making this purchase. Please save yourself the trouble and find a different item.

It’s very nice. It was a booger to put together. The instructions (diagrams) have errors in them. It took two of us 3 hours to put it together. Note that the drawer clicker.. lock thing.. is a pain in the butt to shut the drawers with. You have to push hard. I am thinking of removing that piece tomorrow. The hardest part was figuring out the sliders on the drawers. It also seems like they could have done the order of things a little different. Otherwise I really like the piece. I’ve ordered the matching bookshelf. Not looking forward to putting it together though. Good Value for the money, seems pretty sturdy. Lots of storage. Of course, it was just delivered today and put together today. I’ll update if needed. Gave four stars because of the diagrams having mistakes and causing so much unnecessary confusion. Updated review to 3 stars. I’m trying to file my stuff and realized that folders do not fit on both sides. They give you two brackets for that purpose but then it doesn’t work. The one bracket can barely support the weight of one side much less two. So now I have less filing space than I originally thought. That’s a bummer. Both drawers are the same size so of course its the same with both. Instead of having four filing slots I have two and the cheap plastic may not hold the weight of my files for long. See photo. I’m not holding up the bracket in the second photo, thats simply how much the paper is weighing down the one side. Not good. Otherwise it is a nice piece but I need functionality as well. This isn’t that.

I bought two bookcases and a file cabinet all of them came in nice shape even though the box was damaged. It was easy to build and they look nice. Definitely worth the money
