A formidable storage chest of drawers.

I purchased this to be additional storage for my little sewing room. After the challenge of assembly each drawer and putting it together, I feel great joy in knowing that each drawer is ample and takes up many of my sewing supplies. I got organized very fast and I was up and running by the end of the day. My advice is if you assemble it follow the instructions exactly and take your time. Otherwise it’s an incredible unit. I love the fact that it’s on wheels as it wheels underneath my sewing table and can be out of sight or I can pull it off to the side and use it as an additional table top. Very, very versatile I have another version of it in my art studio both of which are really used daily in my world organization is 2020. You don’t have time to search for things so having it there where you need it is very important as appearance goes. It’s really handsome. I enjoy it. It goes with my very minimal studio aesthetics. Where the art covers everything else. Very attractive very easy to clean very easy to use again. Just take your time and assembling it and I think you’ll be very happy. If far out ways other stores that sell these type of cabinets it’s better made than a certain Swedish company that I go to. Sometimes I chose this over a commercial furniture store. The quality is next to none really I’m impressed very solid. If I needed another set of drawers, I would definitely be buying another one. That’s how good this system is enjoy. I got the 5 tier one and I love it! Honestly it took me a while to put together, but the instruction video was clear and super helpful. At first, a couple of drawers wouldn't slide in all the way, I realized the screws on the railings weren't all the way in, but that was my only issue. Put the screws straighter and everything was smooth. The labels peeled off super easy after assembly, and there were no scratches or damages. It looks so beautiful in the end and I'm happy with the size I ordered. Worth it in my opinion! ... show more

Olixis 5 Drawer - its a good little unit of drawers. I agree with other buyers that the drawers are a little janky, but it’s more of a fine alignment issue. They still function well, but the gaps around them may not be uniform. I mean its engineered wood, made in China, its $60. It takes time to assemble. You are not buying a statement piece. It’s functional, you can put stuff in it, it’s not expensive, and it’s not plastic. It sits next to my desk and hold my nerdy stuff. A+. ... show more

Perfect! Just what I needed

cons: -this thing weighs a ton! But I knew it would, being particle board. -I was a little intimidated when I opened the box and saw how many pieces there were. -castors are cheap plastic. Again, I expected that and will replace them easily with better ones when they start to annoy me enough. -there was a slight mark on the top. It's almost imperceptible after I worked at it with a magic sponge. pros: -Fits well under my desk -It has actual sliders for the drawers that were well marked and assembled without difficulty. -extra hardware was provided! Of course I didn't drop and lose a screw this time. But it is a statement of the manufacturer's commitment. -All pieces were clearly marked and accounted for. -Assembly and alignment went easily. Instructions provided both pictures AND words. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. It is functional for my needs and is quite sturdy for indoors. It isn't Ethan Allen, but it is exactly what I needed. While I listed my complaints above, the finished product is well within my expectations for the price I paid. ... show more

it SHOULD be good
Edit-6/14/26- This cabinet lost a fight with me and no longer exists. Please do not buy this for the love of god. Edit- 6/10/26. I want to apologize for being to nice about this. This thing is so infuriating, I'm going to throw it in my fire pit as soon as I buy a new one from the company that I got the other one from. Edit 5/6/26--- I HATE this thing so much. It just DOESNT work anymore. 3 drawers are toast and dont come out and if you pull them out they drop out. ive taken it apart and reinstalled everything. i dont get it. this is awful. ==It works... until it doesn't. The drawers wont close unless you open another, and ive taken it apart twice to try and find why. everything is in the place it's supposed to . I don't understand why they stick and come off the rails. the other one i have that is JUST like this, but a different brand.. is older and is way smoother.. i dont get it . dont save the money to get this one ... show more

This is a very nice cabinet, and I'm glad I purchased it instead of some other flimsier options I was considering. I just needed something to organize my paint supplies, with drawers deep enough to hold the tubes of paint so I could easily see what I had while sitting down. If you don't want to have to assemble something or you have a hard time following written instructions, this might not be for you. It took me 3-4 hours to assemble it, taking my time to make sure I was doing things correctly. There are A LOT of pieces, a lot of hardware, and multiple steps. However, on the plus side, all parts were clearly labeled, and the instructions were very clear, with large enough print and pictures to make it easy to see. It even came with a Phillips screwdriver (although I used a slightly bigger one that was easier for me to grip) and a baggie of spare parts! The drawers glide smoothly on their rollers, and it looks like it will be very easy to wipe clean. Plus, it has casters to make it easy to move around as needed. The very last step in the instructions was to attach some plastic "buckles" to the back, which I skipped. I'm not really sure what their purpose is, as everything seemed to be complete. The price has dropped by $10 since I bought it, making it an even better deal for someone looking for a 5-drawer cabinet of this size. ... show more

Great value. Great product. Would buy again. But would buy again and again with one enhancement!
This flat-packed file cabinet is better than the price point suggests. It was easy to assemble, sturdy, and makes my under-the-desk storage more organized. Frankly, I used to have a lot of bent, bowed, folded, crumbled, marked paper - and now I have specialty paper stored in a condition that can be put to work. I also love that even with the wheels, it fits under my desk. Drawers move smoothly. Black finish disappears under the desk in a good way (unlike the rickety stack of messy paper that was there before). My negative? The inside of the drawer is only 15 1/4" wide, which means that a drawer will not hold two pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 side by side; if they had made the inside diameter of the drawer two inches bigger I would have been over the moon! The piece is big/wide without adding the extra benefit of more efficient paper storage. Now, I store envelopes alongside paper (it's not the end of the world, it just could be better). This review could have taken a darker turn but they have GREAT customer service! When I was assembling the piece, I discovered one piece was mis-drilled. No one wants to disassemble and repack a cabinet for a return... NO PROBLEM! My email was promptly responded to and the part was immediately shipped to my house - as part of an entire replacement unit. Clearly, this was a one-off error because the second build did not have any mis-drilled pieces and went together quickly. Very pleased. I would buy from this vendor again. ... show more

Just what I was looking for!

I purchased this for my sewing room and I love it! A few things to note... 1) There's lots of pieces of hardware; however, they are all packaged and labeled so you know exactly what you have. I always compare with the parts lists when buying furniture that needs assembly and I can attest that everything was included PLUS they is a few extra of the hardware pieces. I liked that! 2) The instructions came in a booklet. In my booklet, the pages were out of order. For example, the 1st instruction step upon opening of the booklet was step #15 instead of #1. My OCD couldn't handle just flipping pages back and forth to find the correct step I was actually on and since I make small booklets at work, I knew exactly how to fix. Remove staples, find the correct page order and re-staple. Whalla! After that, putting it together was fairly simple. And 3)The only thing I wasn't sure about was the very last step of attaching a plastic buckle piece (labeled "G") into the backside. There was no clear instruction of exactly how to place them nor was there any explanation of what their purpose is. The cabinet is all finished up to that point, so I just left mine off. I think it'll be just fine. Time will tell though. I also chose to not install the wheels and instead purchased some 4" legs and used those instead. That was easy to do, but did have to pre-drill some new holes for the screws. All in all I'm VERY satisfied with this purchase and will definitely order more as needed! ... show more
