The JVC Mobile drvn DF Series Speakers may be entry class, but they have powerful sound reproduction, deep bass, and a tough-looking design. This pair of 6-1/2 in. 2-way coaxial speakers use a rubber coated cloth for the surround for increased mobility, high efficiency, and improved follow-up to audio signals. Plus the tweeters do not protrude so there's no interference with factory grilles while the reduced-depth baskets will fit virtually any application. I bought these as an OEM replacement for my 2015 f150 rear speaker so I didn't have to upgrade my stereo with an amp. They didn't directly fit the hole as they were too small. I had cut out the oem speaker cone from the mount and attach these speakers to the old speaker mount. There are adapters out there but I didn't purchase any. I installed these into a 04 Pontiac Vibe to replace my 20yr old oem door speakers. Two of my old door speakers were seized up, and another had dry rot around the speaker. While I am aware of the incredible price of these speakers, I was hopeful that, with my old speakers in such bad shape, I would be getting something of a small upgrade. This was not the case. I completed installation on the rear speakers and went to test them out and, to my surprise, my ONE oem door speaker that worked up front sounded better than BOTH new JVC rear speakers. I believe these speakers would be an incredible deal for someone who has NO system, or someone who has an extremely limited budget.... but for anyone looking for even a SMALL upgrade, these are not it. Again, I want to reiterate though, these would be an awesome deal of a purchase for someone who wants reliable, functioning speakers just to get some music in your ride in a pinch. Easy install. Needed to replace speakers in my wife's 07 Trailblazer. They don't sound the best but for the price, they are amazing. You gotta spend more if you are looking for that high quality sound with bass. They are well made though.
