Description

Control GX is the first and only shampoo smart enough to gradually reduce greys by slowly bringing them back to their natural shade while it cleanses and conditions your hair. You get an extremely natural look - just by shampooing as you normally do. Just use it instead of your usual shampoo until you like what you see. Then use it in rotation with your usual shampoo to maintain the look you like. There's never been an easier way to control your grey. Get the look you want: Use the control GX as your daily shampoo, and after the first few washes, you'll start to see a subtle reduction in the amount of gray. Continue to use it until you reach your desired level of grey reduction (generally within 2 to 4 weeks). You can even control how gradually you get to your desired result by using it daily or every other day at the start. Keep it that way: Once you've reached the level of grey reduction you like, you can reduce the frequency of use, alternating with another shampoo. In general guys use it as their daily shampoo at the start, and when they are in "maintenance mode" they use it 3 to 4 times a week.

This product is fantastic. With frequent use, it truly colors the hair gradually and naturally. I use it in the shower: after shampooing, I apply about a coin-sized amount (more or less depending on how much hair you want to color) and leave it on while I finish the rest of my shower. Then I rinse it out. It doesn’t color on the first wash — you need to use it a few times to see the results — but once it starts working, the effect is excellent. It may not cover every single white hair, yet even if a few strands remain, the overall look is still very natural and improved. I have found that this works well with a longer beard. If I clip it short, it tends to not dye as well, but slightly longer and it is good to go. My beard is not exactly long, but it is longer than some of the reviewers that have not liked the product and provided pictures. That seems to be the case from my experience. So it works well for me, but only if I keep my beard at least a 4 guard (to give an idea of the length). If clipped to a 2 (or lesser extent, 3) it does not dye nearly as well. ... show more

Subtle, effective, hassle free, and (currently) fairly priced. But, read and take the instructions seriously. Don't be THAT smurf. I use in the shower: Wash my hair then move to the beard. Wet beard and apply like you would regular hair/shampoo except leave it in and avoid getting more water in it. Wash hands with soap/water immediately after applying. Then soap up and wash the rest of body. Come back to rinse beard at the end. (No more soap needed.) Probably 5 minutes total. Seems to get stronger and more consistent results with that setting time. Never a problem with staining (hands, feet, face, or otherwise). I've noticed that it has a very slight burning sensation while it is working and once it stops, it's time to rinse. I use half dollar size amount for a full, but short, beard (#5 or #6 on hair clippers). But, it's fine to use a more when starting out, until you get a feel for it. When I started my beard was nearly full Santa Claus while my hair was brown with a touch of grey at temples. Took about 3 or 4 times before it matched my hair. I don't see a change until the day after washing, when my beard has had a chance to work the oils back into itself though. So patience. (They sell other products for immediate color, if that's your game.) After I get it where I want it I just use it once or twice a week. It comes out as your beard grows. So, if you see yourself getting a touch too much grey, use it the next time you shower. (This package lasts me nearly 4-5 months if that tells you anything.) After a couple months I feel like the color gets too dark in the thicker parts and so I let it go 50% grey again. Then start over. I have experimented with only applying to problem areas. Rarely does a product do exactly what it claims, but Just for Men Control GX does slowly "wash away the grey" a little at a time each time you shower. To help it work better, I will use regular "Beard wash" first, then rinse that out, THEN apply this Just For Men Beard GX product and let it sit while I then shampoo my hair and wash everything else. I'm the typical man, I let it sit for much longer than the instructions but do be careful. The first time you use it, follow the directions and text an area first etc. Some people who are not allergic to anything else turn out to react to this so please do follow the directions. But, I've been using this product since it came out and I am very happy with it. My beard is BRIGHT WHITE now (I'm 59) if I don't color it. NOPE. Not gonna go out like that. I have no idea how this works, but somehow it makes my beard the EXACT correct color of my natural beard like it used to look years ago. I look 13 years younger. Oh, do make sure you store it with the lid DOWN because it is oxygen activated (or something like that) and if you prop it up what seems like would be good to prevent any chance of a leak (it has never leaked), then when you do go to use it, a lot of it will have turned BLACK (it is normally a cream color). This is for Just got Men beard dye brown. I only used it once and I definitely won't use it again. They make it sound like you can use it like a shampoo and gradually dye your beard. First of all, it dyed my lip. Secondly, the gray hair of my beard was not dyed at all and the hair that had color left was a dirty color. Just not my color. I will not use it again and I don't recommend it. ... show more

I wanted to subtly reintroduce a little pepper back into my salt & pepper beard; I was almost pure white. It took a week or two to begin noticing some color returning. Perfect, that's all I wanted. I maintain it by applying once or twice a week for a natural look. I have a short/tapered beard; the coloring isn't noticeable where I clip it short, does shown more in my longer mustache. That's OK with me; it helps keep the natural look. As my beard is short & I squeeze a little Control GX into my palm & apply it with a brush. This allows me to treat the short, hard to dye parts of my beard 1st (thus longer), and keeps me from staining my fingernails. ... show more
