This cooling fan setup for the rear of the PS5 pro works perfectly. The blue light gives a perfect glow in the rear which looks very nice/cool in a dark gaming environment. Plus the blue lights get brighter when the fans go into the higher of the 2 speeds letting you know without having to get up. The automatic temp sensor works very well and honestly adjust as needed in real time. Play complex, hard on the SSD, or disc versions with no worries of overheat damage or fatigue. Take a break while the system is still on and it will bring the speed down once norm temp is achieved. The other huge plus with this fan setup is you don’t lose any USB ports and it’s got 4 fans. I tried other fans that didn’t look as nice or perform as well and found this to be the best one for the system without breaking the bank. I’ll see if I remember to add some pics one of these nights.

This looks really nice, sleek, and it seems to help. The lights can kind of be annoying in a dark room, but they're also kind of really cool. And, as it's supposed to, it really does seem to keep the PS5 from getting hot. Worth it? I think so!

I don’t know why I thought I had a Pro, I did not. I tried to see what it would look like to install it anyways. Since it installs directly to a USB port, it technically does fit, but there’s a clip at the top that does not have a corresponding slot and the fan isn’t flush with the edges. I can probably modify this to fit my PS5 without altering it but I’d be better off to eat the cost and buy one specifically for my model. I included some pictures anyways. When it is plugged in, it’s a little surprising at much cooler the air is with the fan on. As far as cooling improvements, though - I am not convinced that it provides any actual “gains” and here’s why. The PS5 has an internal fan, a heatsink, and uses thermal paste for the SoC. So, in that sense, if your PS5 is struggling to stay cool, you may have an actual issue with the internal cooling system and it may not be possible to fix that externally with a fan. It would be interesting to see if the external fan disrupts the airflow from the internal fan or if it helps facilitate it. But, for sure, the fan used by Sony is the superior fan and the external fan here is more novelty than performance. Honestly, if it fit? I probably wouldn’t use it. After seeing the design of the external fan, I was sure that the best route forward was to simply use the PS5 stand, put it in a well ventilated space, and close to things like fans or cooling systems. Not under them, just nearby in the same room even helps. I’m not a fan of the entire weight of it riding on a single clip and USB port. I’ve seen USB ports get manhandled just with charging cables, I don’t love the idea that my port has to power the device but it makes sense. It’s just that now the PS5 will be working harder (creating more heat) just to power the fan. For looks? I recommend it.

Highly recommend this cooling fan! It fit perfect. I have it on auto which works great. Blue light is a cool effect. Can hear the fan kick on high but it's not a bother.
