I really love this product, as someone who has a camera mounted over my monitors for recording video I have at wall mounted but whenever I need to stand I've had to use a makeshift mount that just doesn't work very well for long periods of time. This is a really changed that it's sturdy slides out of the way quickly and can move to wherever I need it on my desk I can get whatever I need and it could even replace my wall mount if it wasn't for the desk itself being a little shaky. This is something I would definitely recommend for anyone making YouTube videos where you need overheads or you need more field of you for your shots or even a mic overhead very versatile. I love how adjustable this mount is. I got it for making how-to craft videos and it's perfect for my purposes. You can use it as vertical mount if you want, but the real beauty of it is the horizontal options -- adjusting height and length, rotating the arm and changing the angle. It's stable too, despite being very lightweight. The screw clamp holds snuggly to the table I've got it mounted on and the poles are threaded nicely so there's no wobble. All I've used in it is an iPhone, though, so I can't speak to strength and stability for anything heavier. Overall, I'm really pleased with it. My only gripe is that the phone mount they inlcude is pretty low quality. It does the job, but considering the price of this stand, they should've included a nicer one. One other thing to note is that if your table doesn't have enough overhang, you might run into difficulty tightening the clamp. You need at least a 3 1/2" overhang, to get it on there flush and be able to rotate the clamp handle. ... show more

I got this to make some short cooking videos for social media. This stand is pretty sturdy for its small size. It easily held my phone steady without any drifting, sagging or leaning issues. I don't know that I would trust it with a professional mirrorless camera even though the description claims it could hold my camera's weight. The stand and arm are adjustable in length. The further out the arm is adjusted, the less stable it becomes. Each section features a simple friction twist lock mechanism. The clamp for the stand is easy to attach to a countertop or other surface with a lip. It comes with a variety of tips to use with various equipment such as lights, cameras and microphones. The phone cradle included is made of cheap plastic, so although it held my phone securely I don't think it will hold up to heavy usage over time. Giving it five stars for use with a phone, pocket sized light, boom mic or possibly a small point-and-shoot camera. I would be wary of using it with anything heavier than those items though. ... show more

One of my favorite table overhead camera stands. This is made with aluminum and very light to carry around. I like the it's all in one and don't have to screw a vertical arm. Just loosen the knobs and you are able to extend it and set it vertically. Hold my DSLR pretty good with no issues. Mostly using it for scanning film slides. Price is right and I really like the handle when attaching it to the table. Very sturdy in my opinion and I would definitely recommend this. ... show more

I was pleasantly surprised by this camera arm. It is much heavier than I expected. I've gotten similar products before where the bracket was just flimsy sheet metal. But this mounts with a bracket made of plate steel. It won't bend very easily. Similarly the tubes and everything else are made of much heavier steel and aluminum than I expected, especially at this price point. Every part is made of metal except for a couple of the lock bolt handles and the phone bracket. Even the locking rings seem to be made of metal and just have a rubber grip around them. I tried this stand with both a DSLR camera and a microphone and it held them both without bending at all. Overall I'm very, very satisfied with this item. This is a great desk mount for a small or lightweight camera. The desk mount stand has good functionality for the price point. It took me a few minutes ti realize there is another piece hidden inside one of the poles that pulls up and extends into an L Shape. This makes it exceptionally easy for travel. While the poles feel solid including the clamps and threads, the phone holder feels very cheap and like it might break with continued stretching to accommodate a wide cell phone. Good for Smaller Cameras The description of this desk mount stand with overhead camera mount capability is very much as described. It is really adjustable for many uses. It extends, swivels or can adjust between 90 degrees to straight up. It will work for my light use. I only see 2 weaknesses. The first is that if your desk/table has a drop section close to the edge the lever to tighten the base will hit it. It is a nice lever but it does not slide from one side of the tightening screw to the other so it will hit the drop. The second one is that the ball head that attaches to the camera is small and hard to tighten enough for anything but a smaller camera. It had trouble holding my ASPC camera in place in overhead camera configuration. They says it takes up to 13.23lbs but I believe that is only in the vertical configuration. For overhead camera use I would suggest a lighter camera as indicated in their pictures. It will still work for me as I use a light camera for my second camera. I am happy with it. ... show more
