Hello, there and I’m back again with another product review. This one is not sponsored as I did buy this myself. So, I know I ramble a bit if I’m not prompted so that’s why I use a teleprompter to at least guide me to keep me on track, and in many cases, I will write out my script completely and read it out. But that’s not what this is about. It is about the space which I use for making my YouTube videos and the efficiency of setting up my recording process. You see, to use the teleprompter, I need to use a tripod and I have two options, I either leave it on the floor there or I put it away and take it out every time I record. The latter is most used as we do have guests from time to time and I need to put that monstrosity away. And that’s kind of what I will be discussing here. I have purchased a desk-mounted camera mount with an auxiliary arm just so that I can keep all my stuff in one location and have nothing I must drag out or have to consume precious floor space. And here we are…my review of the JUSMO Camera Desk Mount with Auxiliary Holding Arm. Who’s if for? • Photographers • Videographers • Live streamers • Gamers • And for anything in between where you need a mount to secure something that uses a ¼ 20 What’s good about it? • Feels very solid and has a great clamp – most 1-star reviews show that the clamp broke while installing it. It’s made of aluminum and if you tighten it too much and especially on a non-parallel surface you can cause it to fail. • 43” is quite tall for a desk. You can adjust this for almost anything you see fit • The arm has a great clamp and it is very solid – just remember nothing more than 2.2 lbs • The ball joints lock very solidly into position and feel like good quality • There are so many options that you can use this for. • If you do it right you can mount it on a glass-covered desk – as I have. What’s not so good about it? • From the reviews I am concerned that the aluminum tabletop bracket may break in the near future. • There is some difficulty in the placement of the mount for that perfect location. I mean that to do a video I need to push the camera back so it’s attached to the rear of my desk but to do a top-down video like to review something that’s on my desk then I need to move it forward towards me to view at the right spot on my desk. • The arm will only attach to the bottom 2 sections of the 3-section desk mount. The top section is too small to fit the arm • Can’t extend the arm but it’s understood why – too far and it will put too much pressure on the desk mount and possibly break the clamp at the base My final thoughts: • What a great tool for using for whatever you want to do with it. I mean, you can use it for a camera mount at your desk, you can use it for a light mount to give you that fill-in light or key light, you can use it to do those product reviews from the top-down view with the arm. I mean, so many uses, but what I use it for is so perfect for me. • I have been able to remove a tripod that has taken so much floor space from me. And as well, because I can leave it up all the time, I now have a teleprompter that takes no time to set up. I just need to turn on the tablet, set up the script, turn on the camera and start recording. • While I have had this for only a few short weeks I feel that this will be part of my future in making videos and be crucial for it too. • There are options to buy the individual components from this kit and to be honest I really see myself buying a few more of these kits and some of the individual items. Closing: • I am great at rigging things up and making them work. But in the case of using a teleprompter in conjunction with my camera, I can’t really cut corners. I needed a tripod that was sturdy enough to hold those things and be adjustable to work for me. But while I was looking at things to buy and do a product review on I ran across the JUSMO VIJIM LS02 Desk mounting Stand and I thought this would be great for my desk. • For the price and what comes with it I am quite impressed with this and as I said before, I will probably get more of these for my setup. I really like this mount and it has saved me floor space in my room to use for other things. • This is worth the money in my opinion and I suggest that if you need to save some space in your office or room area then get one of these now, you'll be happy you did. • I love this well built camera mount
Style: LS01
The JUSMO has the highest extension height of any camera mount stand, even higher than the Elegato brand without buying extensions to get more height. That in itself is a value that can't be beat. In the picture I have two webcams attached by Pluto arms to floor standing microphone stand (the Pluto arms are horrible because some of the parts are cheap plastic). The JUSMO supports a camera light attached to a telescoping stick (that came the light). I have that attached to the balljoint of the JUSMO. I have a Sony A6000 connected as a webcam via an Elegato Camlink. The camera is supported and connected to the JUSMO by an Impact Double Ball Joint Head with Super Clamp and Camera Platform Kit. Tip: To support the Impact hardware (.37 pounds) and the camera (1.06 pounds), I also have a 6 inch long 1X2 piece of wood attached to the base clamp of the JUSMO and the desk. My desk happens to be only 5/8 inches thick. I also like that the metal used in the cylindrical tubing of the mount is strong and of good quality. I can tighten the Impact clamp without worrying that the clamp is going to crimp the tubing of the JUSMO. Just to update, I love this mount so much, I just bought a second last month (June 2022). Earlier this year I bought a brand that I thought was of similar quality, but the clamp turned out to be ceramic and broke when I was clamping the mount to the desk. Just buy the Jusmo, you will be so happy! ... show more

  • Perfect!
Style: LS02
I needed something to hold my phone overhead so I could make some product videos. This is perfect! It's really sturdy, and I can maneuver it so I get the right angle. Highly recommend!

  • Pretty good, with limitations
Style: LS02
The vertical post is sturdy and beneficial. The smaller arm is more flimsy than I’d prefer and does not hold much weight. Was hoping to affix a mirrorless camera to it, which I have done, but the arm does not feel secure let alone remain horizontal. Of course you can adjust the camera’s horizon with the mounting head, but I don’t trust the system as is. A light, a mic, or a smaller camera like a GoPro or phone is what this works best for. ... show more

  • These things are basically perfect for my needs
Style: LS01
I have a motorized sit/stand desk and these are a must super stable easy to adjust and needed for a sit/stand desk no longer will I have to readjust my light and camera to accommodate for the height chang. I'm so happy I stumbled across these ive been looking for a nice sturdy desk mount for a while now i wanted the Elgato ones but they are sold out everywhere, I had bought some garbage Inkeltech ones a few months back and the biggest problem with those were how the bottom of the pole was riveted it made them super wobbly BUT THESE are great much higher adjustment sturdy enough and I also love the tightening mechanism unlike a lot of other options where they use knob type tightening solution these one use a sort of ring tension which is smoother and allows me to be able to place my desk closer to the wall without the knobs being too close to adjust plus these come with a detachable ball head and although they aren't the best hey at this price they were basically free. I was very skeptical about purchasing these as they had no reviews but I'm glad I bit the bullet and ordered 2 I will definitely order a few more in the future. ... show more

  • Sturdy, but very inflexible
Style: LS02
The clamp on the horizontal pole is not able to give you a 90° angle unless it's on the lowest of the three telescoping sections of the vertical pole. However the shoe on the end of the pole can only turn 90° towards the horizontal pole, meaning, you can't get a level mount if you attach the horizontal pole on either of the top two telescoping sections. The construction feels nice and strong but this means it will always look wonky. Maybe if combined with an arm that has an extra pivot point, the vertical pole is useful, and if you don't need a level mount and just want a horizontal one on the second arm, it's OK. So three stars from me. ... show more
