I loved the item in the box. Color and quality of material is nice and it will function but not the best. The pictures on the assembly booklet are confusing. When I put it together I had a hard time. It states it needs two people to assemble never stated in ad. I am a widow on a budget - I had no access to a second without paying extra. If you follow the directions closely - you assemble some things " up in the air" and hard to complete in a single try. It was some of the simple assemblies that gave me trouble. One major complaint is with the fact that it seems they put the "slide into position" slides are on the wrong side of number 4. I actually love the challenge of figuring out design- but I could not figure that page and though I thought I was mistaken, so I sat back to mentally refigure-no matter how you manipulate #4 so that slides were on the right side - it would not work. The back needs to be secured with stronger material - not thick or sturdy enough. The lack of back for the fireplace makes the stand less stable and flimsy to move. The holes for the wires don't make sense unless all your electric items remain in the cupboards when in use. I am a record collector and the vinyl fits nicely when I take the shelves out. The record player and TV are held on the outside- not inside. So what is the point? Though all together it is nice and stylish- it is not an item that will withstand time. I would not buy again - and once it is set up and you realize it you can't return it.
