This instrument exceeded our expectations. Our teenager wants to teach himself to play, and we preferred buying to renting. I was a musician myself, and this instrument is a great quality for a beginner or even a more advanced player. The case that comes with it is sturdy, which he loves. The order comes with ten reeds and several neck straps, so he was able to start playing right away. He has not put it down, and we are pleasantly surprised at the tonal quality of this sax.     • Wrong color, ligature all bent up, plastic screws

I ordered silver, they sent rose with blue-green key caps. Took the mouthpiece apart to place the reed, noticed that the ligature is all bent and misshapen. You really have to wrestle with the reed to keep it straight. I figure I’ll just tighten it up and it will conform to the mouthpiece shape.. nope. Because the ligature screws are cheap plastic, the moment you put much torque on them, they start to ‘pop’ and jump out of their grooves. But, horn sounds pretty good. Nothing appears bent on delivery. Pads all line up. I ordered a new mouthpiece so should be good to go…. but still rose colored. Maybe it’ll grow on me. ... show more
