Description

The Juki DDL-8700-7 is a single-needle, straight stitch, industrial sewing machine, with the added functions of automatic thread trimming and automatic footlift. Manufactured by Juki, a world leader in sewing quality and technology, this machine is perfect for sewing light to medium weight fabrics (not intended for leather or other heavy materials). With engineering for reduced vibration and noise, the Juki DDL-8700-7 is optimized for comfortable operation. With the additional undertrimmer, automatic footlift, and capability to program functions such as number of stitches and backtacking on the included CP-18 panel, this unit is perfect for increased productivity, allowing the user to get more done in a shorter amount of time. The included M92 servo motor is also very quiet, making this machine ideal for in-home use. This item is sold as a complete unit, which includes the machine head, table, stand, motor, sewing light, drawer, and all necessary components installed and ready to sew. Please be advised that this is industrial equipment. Minor blemishes and scratches on the table and legs may occur during the production process, and these do not indicate any defect or deficiency in the operation of the unit. Not sure if I've been missing parts or not this whole time and it did not come with a manual. Mine came with a light but nowhere to plug the light directly into the machine so I have to use an extension cord. I saw some videos on this model and they had it on a box attached under the motor which also has what looks to be a speed adjustment. However mine does not have this box so I am figuring out how to work around this. And I can't refer to product photos or description to see if this was something that should have been included. ... show more

This is a professional Seamstress 's dream machine. A work horse used in the top entertainment industries in the world for costume construction and maintenance as well as factory construction and fashion. Automated back tack and foot pedal cut,foot lift, and stitch controls. I just ordered this machine as I have 15 years of experience with this series of straight stitches. When the costumes company closed due to Covid 19, I knew that I needed a beast to make masks. Literally have been able to make 60 masks a day with this beautiful girl. From the minute she arrived. Nothing makes a straight stitch better! I am working on a bachelors degree in fashion apparel design and use similar machines at school, but the addition of the undertrimmer makes this Juki a totally different machine! I haven't adjusted the back-tack or any other features you change on the screen, so I cant comment on any of them. Since getting this machine though, I have sewn straighter stitches than I ever have, and faster than I ever thought possible. The automatic back-tack and undertrimmer have probably saved me a couple of hours so far and I've only had the machine for 2 weeks! I sat in front of a different model from Juki earlier today, and realized how good I have it with my DDL-8700-7. Only problem: Machine is made in China... ... show more
