Went with a Craftsman style weed eater Head and found that it takes a 3/8 in bolt. Mine was a 1/4" on my Ryobi SS 30. I installed this unit which works great. The standard attachment pole is 24 mm which means that I had to cut the extension tips off of the Head. I put it on the vise with light tension, took a hacksaw and cut at the seam. Had to do it about 3 times to get the right fit. Now it is a solid mount and it works great! I also changed out my Brush Cutter Head because the mount on this Head works perfectly for mounting the saw blade. I highly recommend this Gear Head. ... show more

I have been searching for a head for this Ryobi trimmer and had no luck , this was the 3rd model I ordered that had the same description like the others. What i like with it is clear description and pictures to support it the hole on the shaft does not match the location but did not care to much about it just made a new hole and screwed it in . ... show more
