    • Works far better than I expected! Fast and easy to cut grass.
I recently left behind my commercial Shindawa line trimmers when I sold my ranch. At the new house I hired a gardener and then another and another. They really want incredible amounts of money for mediocre work. So I bought Ryobi battery powered tools. The line trimmer can only use lighter weight trimmer line and after looking at the choices I bought this. This line cuts the grass like a knife. I am shocked and pleased. I used to fight huge and really tough weeds and now I am edging grass by my gardens and patios like it was magic. The grass is cut cleanly and quickly. The cost for the line is minimal. The trimming goes very fast and even getting between tiles on the patio is a breeze. Very happy. It is delivered in a plastic bag bulk style. That is fine with me. I roughly measure off 10 feet and loading the spool is easy too as the heavier lines fight getting pulled tight into the spool. This light stuff is a piece of cake! This trimmer line works great with my battery-powered weeder. It cuts smoothly, but because the line is very thin, it’s more suitable for low or soft grass. Not ideal for thick weeds, but perfect for quick light-duty trimming.

Standard round trimmer string - but this seems to break off easier than OEM string when it hits a significant obstacle like wood or concrete border, fence post, etc. Given the much lower price, probably about a $ wash versus OEM string, but more of a hassle having to remove the spool and rethread the string every few minutes, so from that aspect I am going back to OEM string for my next buy. ... show more
