As someone that does casual yard work. Stihl trimmer line is GREAT. It's a million times better than your cheap trimmer line you can buy at the local stores. The cheap trimmer line would constantly break off every 5 minutes and I would have to constantly readjust it. Plus the cheap trimmer line wasn't cutting very well. Stihl trimmer line is very strong and works perfect for my yard. Just to test it a little, I ran my weed wacker full throttle against my metal lamp post, concrete drive way, and some bricks. I love this trimmer line, I came highly recommend from my friend who works in landscaping. It's incredibly durable and handles well against chain link which is what I needed. The yellow line from stihl is also great but this one is better.

This line was supposed to be more durable when used against rough concrete, but I haven’t found it to be much different from cheaper line. In fact, it gets tangled up in the trimmer spool a little more easily because of the criss-cross shape of it. Nevertheless, it does the job and I will be using the balance of it. I did use it against some very large weeds and I think it performed better on those than against concrete landscape block. ... show more
