Very thin and tiny zippers

The initial attempt at installation was impossible without using cable ties to hold about half of the clips down. Through use the top stretched and I was eventually able to get all of the clips down. The velcro stickies refuse to stay stuck to my truck. The ones that are supposed to go on the tailgate did not line up with anything on the tailgate. Now that the top has stretched and fit water gathers into large pools on it. Because the velcro areas refuse to stick the flaps come open and allow water into the bed. The flaps on the side do not go all the way down to the side's leaving gaps. Even after stretching some of the parts don't fit quite right. The material seems durable but I have only had it for a couple of weeks and it appears as though there is going to be significant amount of uneven stretching. It could use multiple more supports as well as some other type of connection to hold the front and back flaps down. I'm thinking possibly magnets. I suspect the initial installation would have gone a lot smoother if I had done it on a hot sunny summer day. However I don't feel like that should really be the case. Overall it looks fairly disheveled. Provides moderate to adequate rain protection during a long drive. It does its job in a pinch. Visibility out the back is okay considering that you're looking through it piece of not so smooth or tightly stretched plastic. Would I purchase it again? Not unless it was the only thing that I could afford and I absolutely needed one. However, because this was not the only thing that I could afford if I was to do this purchase again I would have gotten a proper topper rather than attempting to be creative. It certainly isn't worth it as a long-term topper.

FITS AN '09 F-150 with a 5.5' bed it was easy to install. I did it myself. 2 people would obviously take shorter time. Durable frame and material. Highly recommend.

I’ll start with saying the instructions are terrible. It’s mostly pictures in black and white so you can’t see the necessary details. Watching the video is a MUST. I was not able to find any identifying info on which parts were which. It became a game of trial and error. After about 3 hours, I had it all together and stretched out. It fits extremely tightly on a 2014 F150 but it does work. I was impressed with the rear access and how it stays down tightly to the tailgate (something that seems to be an issue with competitors). Unfortunately, that’s the only part that was sealed well. On the front side there were 2”x2” holes on both sides. Also, the canvas cover is only attached to the rails by hooks which did make it easier to install. But, bc there’s a slit in the rails, where the canvas is curled or as you go down the highway, water can get in thru the slits. I’ll be sending it back for a refund. I hope that the tailgate detail will be kept in the design and that the leak paths thru the slits can be fixed.
