I needed a small option to play my electric on vacation and this was perfect. Its small and lightweight and sounds good enough for practice. Note this is jut for an in the apartment-house playing, not loud enough for anything else like playing with a band. Great bluetooth and AUX input features as well. The overdrive isn't that expressive; it's either off or its on and acts more like a gain control. So, just know that going in, you are not going to get a lot of various textures out of it. Good clean sound and a good crunchy sound. Easy to use and inexpensive, perfect for the price.

I live in a house with 5 other guys, and am still learning guitar. I’m not trying to torture anyone, so I needed a smaller amp than my Vht Special 6 Ultra. I was definitely wanting something battery powered, so I can easily set up outside, in the garage, or beside one of the acoustic players in the house. My funds were also hit, so I was willing to settle on something lesser. This little amp is just what I needed. Rechargeable battery, Bluetooth, clean and drive settings, tone control-for 30 bucks. This thing sounds pretty good. The drive channel sounds like a decent distortion pedal (more distortion than overdrive really), and the gain control adds sustain and distortion in a good range. My pedals sound better than the built in drive, but they cost more than this amp, and complicate matters. The knobs don’t feel cheap at all! Bluetooth is a feature I wasn’t looking out for, but boy is it handy. Just push the button and my phone connects, even while using earbuds. The button is something more expensive models don’t necessarily have- they just connect with power on. I’ve got a small Bluetooth speaker (Oontz Angle- a great speaker), but I don’t really need it with this amp. I can’t vouch for how long the battery lasts, because it’s never died on me. Great little practice amp. Loud enough to play with acoustic guitars, and fantastic features for the price. I highly suggest this amp to anyone looking to play and practice more. Hell, it’s pretty good for a Bluetooth speaker too.

This product exceeded my expectations. It's really powerful for its size and the sound quality & build quality seem really good. I'm no expert when it comes to amps or music/sound equipment, but this seems like a really good product. Looks good, functional and small enough to be really portable but still useful. Bluetooth feature works good too if you just want a nice Bluetooth speaker.

I'm editing my previous response, but I'm leaving it at the bottom since I consider it to be part of my experience with the product. The seller offered me a refund, because of my previous critical review and then I got encouraged to send them a video, showing what was happening to me (not because they asked me to, just because I wanted to). Just by trolling, trying to show my sister what the issue was, I tried playing in CLEAN mode with the GAIN to the maximum. And then it worked. It worked perfectly. I was giving a nice CLEAN sound I could actually hear without effort. Basically, I was trying to play in CLEAN mode with GAIN set to a minimum value an that's why the guitar was not sounding at all through the amp. The way this small amp processes the the GAIN in CLEAN mode is not what I'm used to, when compared to other amps. Amps normally ignore the GAIN setting in CLEAN mode and that's why I was convinced that the amp was just "bad designed". How ridiculous I was. But that's probably my bad (and maybe my teacher's bad, too, as he didn't spot it), I've not tested enough amps so far and I didn't try to test that option before posting my previous review. In summary: 1. This setting actually makes this amp in particular a little more configurable than a normal amp and also makes me love the amp, because it fixes the only drawback I found to it. 2. This experience makes me more probable to buying JOYO products in the future, because the product is pretty great and also because of the seller's consideration and the fact that they replied my questions in the chat. I didn't reach out to them, they reached out to me to try and fix the issue. My previous experience: "I bought it to use it to have a portable amp to play guitar with. (...) The Overdrive setting works perfectly, however, in Clean mode - even at max volume - it's too quiet. You actually have to make an effort to hear it while you play. I tried both connecting the guitar directly and using a pedal. (...) The bluetooth works well and it has nice sound but it won't work if you plan on using it to play guitar."

Every now and again you run into something so nice (or bad) that you may feel like sharing. For under $30 this thing is amazing; and I want to highlight it as a bluetooth speaker. It isnt magical so it is ofc lacking bass at this size, but its louder than average for its size, in line with higher priced options of the same size. Its probably worth it just as a bluetooth speaker. Now the guitar amp part; its completely powered by a rechargable battery and sounds better than I expected; still not magical so it is still lacking bass but that isnt very noticable on the guitar. The sound is not toylike (thats what i expected) and completely servicable for desktop practice use. It gets louder on guitar than as a bluetooth speaker and with gain maxed its just loud enough to annoy my neighbors which is something i wasnt expecting. It could also be played around the campfire if youre autistic enough to bring to bring your electric (or any guitar if not requested tbh)! Again, im considering the size and predominantly value here. For sub $30 it is amazing; i would have felt it was fair even at $50-60. Hope that helps.
