I've wanted to have laser hair removal for my underarms for years! Laser treatments (at a Dr office) are more invasive than IPLs because they consist of a stronger wavelength that can penetrate deeper into the skin. I didn't go that route because they're also more expensive! Since your hair grows in six cycles. The average price is $1,600., WAY Out of my press range! It was worth taking the chance of doing it myself, for a quarter of the price. If I shared my opinion, it was going to be after the 6th session. However, with these results after two sessions, I wanted to let others looking for one of these to know already. The sessions are quick and I expected it to be PAINFUL, which it's not. Normally, I had to shave every day. Now each session has at least 2 weeks between them with no hair. It comes with a lot of accessories and after the 1st time (which takes little longer), but it wasn't complicated at all. I'm confident that if I carry on treatments every 2 weeks for longer, I can get rid of them ALL and then move to maintenance mode and finally stop having to shave. I'm so encouraged, I wish I had bought mine sooner.

I have definitely seen a reduction in hair growth after using this. I would probably have amazing results if I used it routinely. It’s super easy to use and light weight which is good for extended use like legs. I would definitely says it’s a good value for the money and good quality. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s still working well. It does get a little hot when I use it for an extended time like using on my armpits and then my legs.

Bought this a bit sceptical but the hair has grown slower than normal. But you need to be very consistent as it is asking for 2/3 times a week at the beginning. It wasn’t working properly at the beginning and I contacted customer service and the response was quick and effective. They also have a 90 days satisfaction guarantee. I am still working with it, as the hair has not disappeared yet but haven’t been super consistent either. After comparing with other products that friends have bought, I will suggest to buy the other well known brand. Same price and it is more effective. After using the same amount of time, they have ditched the razor where I haven’t

The first time I tried this, I didn't get the best results because I was horribly inconsistent. The next time I followed a much more frequent schedule, and just over a month in I've noticed great progress on my legs, bikini area, and arm. One thing to be mindful of is avoiding tattoos at all costs. Working around mine is a bit tricky, but the head is maneuverable enough that it's not much of a problem.

Great idea but after weeks of using this I still have hair as If I use a razor. A lot of instructions and warning’s definitely read them! Glad I did before I tried. I think it might be better to stick with the razor. Not seeing much of a difference.

I had IPL done professionally in a doctor’s office a few years ago for a skin condition, and was happy with the results, so when I saw this JOVS home IPL device, I was excited to try it out. I have only been using this for a week or so, so I can’t report on full results yet, but I will share my mostly positive experience with using this device so far. The device comes attractively packaged in a box suitable for gifting, and it includes everything you need to get started, including a razor and safety goggles. The safety instructions indicate that you should avoid sun exposure for 2 days after treatments, so if you are using this to get beach-ready legs, you should start using it a few weeks before so that you don’t have to worry about being in the sun and damaging your skin. In the beginning you should be using this 3-4 times a week and eventually scaling back to 1-2 times a month after 8 weeks, so the early days of using this really do need to be sun-free. Next year I'll start using this in the winter so that I'm all set for Summer by the time it comes around. Use of the device is pretty easy. You should start by shaving the area you want to treat and making sure it is clean and free of lotions, cream, oil, and residue. Then, turn on the device, select the power and area to use it on, and get to zapping. The default mode is one zap at a time, but you can hold the trigger to activate auto zap, which zaps by itself once every 2 seconds or so. Use of the device is pretty comfortable. I remember the IPL at the doctor’s office feeling like rubber bands snapping on my skin, but this is completely painless. The unit has a cooling feature that makes the head feel like an ice cube. I’m not sure if that’s why it was so comfortable, or if less power is just more comfortable by default, but the comfortable experience is appreciated. Afterwards, my skin just felt like normal and I went about my day as usual. I’m doing a totally non-scientific experiment in which I’m treating only one leg. My hair grows pretty slowly, so results are limited, but the treated leg seems like the hair is growing more slowly and sparsely. I had some minor issues with using this, but nothing that was a deal-breaker. The lights that allow you to select which area to use this on are very difficult to see, especially with the protective glasses on, so I found myself having to take off the glasses each time I made an adjustment. The instruction book is also tiny and printed in what looks like 6 point font- I would have greatly appreciated this being larger and easier to read. I ended up going to the manufacturer website to download the manual. I also would have liked more information on the “skin rejuvenation” (SR) mode. I would like to try this on my face, but I’m a little nervous because there wasn’t too much specifically about that mode, despite it having its own mode and separate head to use in that mode. I’m going to do some more research on the company website for that one. Overall, this is a quality product that is easy and comfortable to use, and seems to work based on what I’ve seen so far. I had some minor issues with visibility of controls and the manual, but these are easily remedied. I look forward to seeing even more results over time as I continue to use the JOVS IPL hair remover.

i’ve gotten laser hair removal a few times and always struggled with excess body hair. after a few painful sessions that I paid a lot of money for i was scared to try it again. i’m not exaggerating when i say I really feel like this product changed my life. the hair is gone it’s insane. the best results i’ve gotten by waxing, waiting a week or so and then lasering once a day or every other day for a couple of weeks, it does not grow back. definitely the best product i’ve ever bought myself.

Because of the high price, I'd recommend starting out with a much lower priced unit in the sub $100 to 150 then upgrade to something like this once you know it's something you enjoy and that works for you. But if cost isn't an issue for you: Pros =rotates to more easily reach certain areas =established brand (and they have $700 machines) =improvements to an earlier model =cooling system (and it should for that price) =powerful at 60w =better than standard glasses and razor (and should at that price) =includes one area filter with magnetic attachment =two color choices =includes a skin rejuvination mode Cons =price =still not wireless Safety: 1.Not suitable for people with dark skin or light hair color 2. Do not use on skin areas with tattoos, scars, and moles IPL Generalities Units are pretty standardized other than features like cooling, power in watts, shape and build quality. You need to shave prior to use. Usually, they give you a razor but feel free to use your own. Make sure you wear safety glasses. Who knows what damage you could do. =does not work on certain skin or hair colors. See the chart that's included in most IPL. People that find they don't work typically have the wrong matches in the chart for compatibility or aren’t waiting a very long time before they see results.
