This camera is an excellent value. This has great battery life. It can go a month taking 30 photos a day. The battery is less with video but still great. The motion detection is good it avoids smaller animals and is perfect for human detection. I have two of these they have been in service for a year in the elements 24/7. I use them primarily to watch wildlife at corners of the property. The night vision stopped in one of the units. Contacted seller they offered troubleshooting tips, and when that didn’t worked they voluntarily sent a replacement camera. I appreciated the service and it prompted me to write a review. I find the app to meet my needs for live looking in and recording. The wifi works surprisingly far. The camera mounts have held up so far but appear they will succumb to the elements well before the camera and are easily replaced. ... show more

This product is as represented and was easy to set up. There are a number of YouTube video’s that can assist you in getting this set up. The daytime video and pictures are excellent in HD setting. At night it drops to black and white which can be seen, but not nearly as nice as the daytime color images. The mounting brackets are better than other products as they provide a much better swivel design to position the camera. My sense is that it will also do better than other products in the elements. The housing is well designed and solidly constructed. Everything is packaged well and includes everything you need to install it. My only reservation is the recharging, which will require me to mount at a height that is easy to get to every couple of months to recharge. This is the first time I’ve used these cameras. They have many views though some are pretty dark. It has 2 ways audio. It was okay but echoed a lot. Setting it up took a few minutes but was pretty easy to do. I do like the quickness. I think it’s great that it came with brackets to hang it up. I didn’t like how it would send me alerts every time one of our pets moved around. I thought it was a pretty good camera but could’ve been better. ... show more

    • I'd buy a different camera.
The camera itself is pretty good i guess but the app is TERRIBLE. It sucks so bad. It glitches, the sound goes out all the time, then even when we turn the motion detection off it will still move to somewhere else. Then it wants you to pay for extra storage. It's not worth it.

I find that this camera, like others with batteries, to be less satisfactory compared to those powered by regular wired current. Wifi is less responsive and they seem just generally slower. Image of the camera is good. Motion detection is pretty good too. Not difficult to set up using the Cloudedge app. Bottom line, it's an OK device but with reservations. If you have access to wiring, I would go with that type device instead. ... show more

When it works it’s great , the batteries won’t hold a charge for more than 24 hours at this point and it’s only 8 months old. Of course at this pint I can’t return it. First negative review I’ve ever given, don’t like to do it but I don’t want someone to waste $80 either

I love the fact that it’s not connected to the internet. My SanDisc is all I need to keep track of anything. Use it mainly to watch small critters in the yard (which don’t set off the sensor alert) and to keep big critters (which do) out of the yard.
