  • The feet are stationary
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
The chair is real nice quality. The only problem is you can’t move the feet out of the way.

This chair is just what was told about in their ad. I can lift it to put it in my car trunk. I took it to the grocery store for the first time using it. It worked really well. I could turn it around in the isle with no problem. It does turn on a dime. I am no longer going to have to worry if there will be a store chair for me to use. It is worth what I Paid for it. It was very comterful to ride in also. ... show more

  • Chair is sleek and sturdy 8 months later. But the charger crapped out.
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
So I've been using the chair for 8 months. Pros and cons: Pros: If you spend most of your time in airports and malls with small bumps, this is perfect. Chair is lightweight but not unstable. Carbon fiber is expensive but very strong. Glad I got that option. Comes mostly assembled. Very tight turning circle; logical easy joystick controls. It's fast but the electronic brakes work well. It's yet to pitch me out of the chair, so I feel safe. Caveat: I'm only 5'4" tall, 200 lbs. It slows slightly when turning so it's easy to handle. It fits through my interior 28" doors. Having ubered extensively, I can report that it fits in the empty trunk of almost everything (Teslas, Carollas, Honda Accords, Hyundai Sonatas. We even got it in to a Chevy Atom, but it took some ingenuity). At 30 lbs., taxi drivers can handle putting it in. Cons: It hates bumps higher than about 3/4 inch. I had to put down a rug in front of the marble lip a the bottom of my door to get it over the threshold. The front wheels are not controlled at all, and need to be facing forward to get through tight spaces with threshold bumps. The user can't reach the levers to switch from electric to manual; you'll need help there. It will not work on grass at all. The clips that hold the footplates on have popped off twice, and it takes 8-12 business days to replace them. The battery range is not 9 miles; it's more like 5-6 (but all battery life estimates for any gadget are baldfaced lies.) The most serious problem is that the charger has stopped charging. I. called Journey to get a replacement charger and at first they said I could get it in 8-12 days, with no express options! Then they said it was backordered to mid May! I tried to talk to a supervisor, but the agent refused, I can't get to work with a dead wheelchair. I ordered one from another source two days ago. It showed in stock but hasn't shipped yet. Unacceptable. ... show more

  • Portable and quite light for a power chair
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
If you are looking for a heavyweight all-terrain power wheelchair with lots of bells and whistles, this may not be your ideal fit. However, this ticked all our boxes when looking for a power wheelchair for a family member who is not as mobile as she used to be. We wanted something that was portable - and most importantly, not too difficult/impossible for others to help her lift into a vehicle or up some stairs if needed (some family members are not as strong, young or mobile themselves). This is a great chair for that. Since most trips out with the chair involve going to stores, going for dinner, running errands, etc., this style of chair is more than sufficient and we don’t really need anything more heavy duty. The battery lasts long enough and we haven’t had any issues with it needing a recharge in the middle of an outing. It’s also pretty comfortable and we haven’t heard any complaints! ... show more

  • Flat spot on tires
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
Chair already has worn tires with flat spots. Easily scratched and plastic parts. Only after 6 months of occasion use not used on a daily basis. Very disappointing for the cost of this wheelchair.

  • Weeee! Let's Go!
Size: Air Elite Style: Carbon Fiber/Black
I am so thrilled to have this chair for my 86 year old mom who has Parkinson's and severe arthritis. My once beautiful, vibrant and active mom keeps falling due to her weak muscles from Parkinson's. While she can stand and walk a few steps she has relied on me to push her in a lite transporter chair when we go to Walgreens, Kohl's, clothes shopping or anywhere there isn't an electric chair provided (i.e. Kroger, Meijer's, Walmart). I'm 63 so I'm no spring chicken so taking care of mom is getting harder. Along comes this excellent, portable, electric chair! It was a snap to assemble. Instructions for use are easy to comprehend. It was easy to charge up the battery. It's a little heavy for me to lift into the trunk but it most certainly is doable. I'm used to lifting her 17lb Transporter chair so the extra weight and material on this one take a bit getting used to. The chairs rolls smoothly. The back wheels are large enough to go over much terrain but the smaller front wheels can get you stuck in certain spots but you just need to learn how to maneuver such as coming at bumps from an angle. There are safety feature such as a strap to hold patient in place. The foot-rests are adequate. The seat is comfortable. The arms are a bit short but long enough to rest on. You can move the levers on the wheels back when not using the battery so you can push the patient manually. The chair is small but what do you expect if you want it to be light-weight? Small or not my mom sat comfortably in it with her jacket on. I'm 5'10" and not chubby and fit in it just fine. The joy-stick is easy to use. Sometimes I have to press the start button a bit firm to turn it on. Overall this is a fully portable electric chair that gives mobility and independence where once you had to depend on others. ... show more
