I have another metal one that does spin and I hate it so I did not have high hopes for this one. I use ginger all the time. I’ve been peeling it with a spoon which works better than anything I’ve tried - Until this peeler arrived. It has a separate ginger peeler attached. Next was the carrot test. It works just great for apples!

There is a channel on y-tube, Bake Like a Pro, and the guy whizzed through peeling apples for a pie like I never saw before. People were asking him where he got his peeler which wasn't identical to this one but essentially the same thing. Well finally I found this brand. I can finally peel an apple faster in one long spiral with just a little cleanup. I thought the serrated blades might leave grooves in the apple, but they don't amount to anything. It. Really. Does. Work. And for left or right-handed people. It will also be good for eggplant which I don't do much and butternut or the big cream-colored squash and probably lots of other things I haven't needed it for yet. My only regret is not having one of these years ago as a lot of things with apples went unmade because it was too time-consuming to peel very many. One huge advantage is the shaft blends right into the head, as it helps to get your finger over the yellow part a little for more pressure or leverage. Attention Limoncello makers. Great lemon peeler

I make home made limoncello. Getting the skin off without pith is very important & time consuming. And hard on my hands. With this peeler which I got as part of a set, I did 3 pounds of lemons effortlessly. I loved it so much I bought a second one as a backup. I never want to be without it!
