I went from a Selkirk amped epic 7.3oz which is an awesome paddle but I wanted more power to put away shots and wanted topspin for a stronger serve while keeping the control and sweet spot/forgiveness of the amped epic. This scorpeus 14mm feels like an awesome upgrade without losing control or the sweet spot of my amped. I am putting away shots better at the opponents feet and am much faster/powerful at volleys along with a great topspin serve that I have been trying to get good at. Couldn’t have asked for better. Also I like a light paddle so going from 7.3oz to 7.8oz was so much better than 8.0oz or heavier paddles. Thanks Joola and Thanks Amazon for sending it overnight. ... show more

Great paddle, light, big sweet spot, powerful! I would recommend for anyone, any level. However, my husband just received his new Selkirk Invikta air and that paddle came with the works- a very nice heavy Selkirk case, tape, etc. it was an impressive paddle with impressive gear. With a bit of lead tape, this has become the best paddle I have ever used. Lightweight, tons of pop and nicely balanced. Has great put-away power has pin point accuracy.

I would rate this as one of the best paddles out there. I have tried gearbox cx14, engage MX 6.0, carbon 3x in the past. Engage was my favorite. But it is heavier than joola scorpius which limited the ability to maneuver at the kitchen line. Despite it being light weight, it is surprisingly stable at resetting shots. The drives are amaaaaazing! Try it and see it for yourselves. Not every paddle appeals to everyone. Hope this helps. ... show more

This is my fifth paddle I bought and I absolutely love it!! My first Joola paddle and I am sticking with them, as they are the best. At least for me. I have 3 Diadem paddles which don’t even come close to this one. Treat yourself for the best.
