The most important thing is that you can tune your guitar very precisely with its high ratios and the guitar can better keep the sound stay in tone. Read more How to adjust the neck and action? In a normal situation, the guitar neck should keep straight and level, but acoustic guitar using steel string which has a huge tension may bend the neck and causes buzzing. When this issue occurs, we use a two-way truss rod to adjust its neck and keep straight under the huge tension of the string. When the neck is bend backward the string The truss rod is at the end of the neck, you can see and adjust it from the soundhole. Slowly adjust the truss rod with the Allen wrench clockwise, and see the change of the neck, till it's back to level. When the neck is bend toward the string Slowly adjust the truss rod counterclockwise till the neck back to level. You can also use this method to adjust the action.

  • Perfect for smaller bodies
Size: 38 Inch, Spruce
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So I also have the 41 inch Aklot and I’m so happy I got the 38 inch kit. It fits my hands a lot better! If you are a smaller person or are buying this for a child. I would pick this kit over the other. It’s solidly built, and has light strings on it. Comes with everything you need to get started and has an adjustable neck so you can fix any action problems which may occur naturally. I would highly recommend this entire package for a beginner or anyone wanting to add to their collection ... show more

  • A great 41 inch guitar set for beginners with great build quality !!
Size: 41 Inch, Spruce
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This guitar will surprise you with its build quality. For the price, it is definitely a great deal when it comes along with every accessory you would need to start your classes. My wife got crazy to learn guitar suddenly and so after searching for all the economical options, I ended with this. I didn't want to spend on costly guitars as I am sure this craze of her will end soon. This is a budget combo and not fair to compare this with costly guitars which cost 5-10 times than this. Keeping that in mind, my 2 cents below : Pros: - Excellent build quality for the wood and even the strings - Sound is good enough on comparing to the online teaching videos where tutor plays costly ones. I have zero knowledge about guitars and just my thoughts based on what I could get while seeing my wife learning. - Loved the color finish - It comes with everything you would need to start guitar training. Has bunch of accessories (gig bag, strap, tuner, picks, string, capo, pickguard, cleaning cloth, winder) included in the set. From tuning the guitar to playing, everything included. - It even comes with extra strings - Super reasonable price - They seem to be very proactive with their customer support as they mention warranty everywhere Cons: - You don't get additional color options with this model. Some folks might prefer a more neutral color or more funky color - Gigbag could include an additional small pouch for keeping small things while traveling. It does have a big pouch and sometimes it needs searching small things with effort if every accessory goes inside together. Overall it is a great product considering the price. Recommended. Worth try for beginners and later upgrade to costly ones when you are well proficient in playing it. ... show more

  • Nice Guitar, Good Playability right out of the box and of course, after tuning it...
Size: 41 Inch, Spruce
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I had purchased several of Aklot's Ukulele's in the past and quite pleased with their workmanship so when I heard they had released an acoustic guitar I decided to take the plunge and buy one for outside use during the summer time. Having tuned it and tested it out then re-tuning and then coming back again later it held the tune quite well. I really like the matte finish, smooth frets, no bad frets throughout and the neck arrived straight as a board. Relatively low action so it was nice to play right out of the box. The goodies bag always sweetens the deal. Extra strings and all the accessories that one would need to get started and feel like they have a complete package. I'll add another Video of its tone in another video and update. I always believed a good test is playing the instrument for at least a month or so and then seeing how everything is. If your a beginner looking for a guitar to test out your learning skills I do recommend this guitar. ... show more

  • Great guitar package with lots to offer! Nice size for travel!
This guitar comes with a bunch of bells and whistles for a fairly inexpensive price. Included are strings, a capo, picks, an electronic clip-on tuner, a string winding tool, a pick-guard, a hex wrench (to adjust the truss rod), a strap and a padded case. The case has some fairly decent padding for the price! I like the compactness of the three-quarter size as I think this would be ideal for travel when compared to my full-sized guitars. It’s a fun guitar to just leave laying around the house for impromptu jam sessions. The guitar is set up with nylon strings, which takes a little more time to stretch out. The first few days of playing required constant tuning. This is expected (if you've ever put on new strings on an ukulele, then you know this). I’ve had the guitar for 2 weeks now and it doesn’t require frequent tuning. The fret spacing is spot-on. I like to check for intonation by playing up and down the neck on single strings with a tuner. Each note played in tune. The guitar has a warm tone that sounds good with a pick or finger-style. Initially I was a little surprised that the pick-guard wasn’t attached. I understand now that some classical guitarists like the option of not having a pick-guard to let the soundboard resonate. Depending on your school of thought, a pick-guard may be more for aesthetics anyway. It is nice that you have the option of putting on a pick-guard or not. The string action (height of strings above the frets) was pretty high at about 17/64 inch above the 12th fret. I used the hex wrench on the truss rod (almost 2 full turns) to adjust the neck such that the strings are now about 7/64 inch above the 12th fret. Now the guitar plays like a champ! This kind of procedure could be intimidating to some beginners, but know that adjusting the truss rod every now and then is just a fact-of-life for guitars! Overall this is a great guitar package that would make anybody happy. ... show more
