Strong oder, I let it air for 2 days & sprayed with disinfectant. Little dusty, needed to vacuum. Cats stretch out & sleep on it. Surprisingly very pliable for such a rough looking texture. Good rustic look.

I have no idea why but my dogs hated this rug. I read something similar in another review moments ago when I was deciding whether to review or not. My dogs were so strange towards this rugs and day one completely tore it up, which was arguably very easy to do, so durability might not be so great.. I then made it a basement rug because, even with the new deformity, I was too stubborn to get rid of a brand new rug. One that I really wanted to love. Day 2 my dogs were in the basement, one went over and peed on it. They don't pee in the house ever. I have no idea what it is with this rug, but they hated it. Needless to say, I wasted my money. And this could just be one weird story. But after reading another review that said their dog hated it I figured it was worth sharing. Maybe it's a texture or smell thing? Not sure. But if you have pets, use caution putting it out right away! ... show more

Rug does not measure a true 8x10 It’s 7’9” x 10’. Although it’s a pretty rug and actually comfortable, the space requires a true 8x10. Sent rug back, still waiting for a refund.

Love this rug. I’ve had jute rugs before and this one is my favorite. Great price and quality. Laid flat right away and looks so nice. It is very “chunky” so my chairs don’t glide over it very well. You do need to lift the chair up to move it back and forth. We don’t eat at this table often we do eat at the counter so not a big deal for us. Would probably want to make another choice of a rug if you plan to use this under a very used dining table. ... show more
