Sadly these pale in comparison to the brand Play Paddles. Definitely better than wooden ones though! Still a bit on the heavy side and take effort when you hit the ball. The balls that come with it aren’t a great quality either. I’d say spring for an expensive paddle instead.

We took this set with us to Hawaii and it kept our kids busy every day. It's really compact and easy to take around. The quality of the set is really good. We used it everywhere and it withstood the test of daily use all over the place. This is definitely worth the money.

The JONAPAR Pickleball Paddles Set arrived promptly and was just as described online. I chose this set after years of watching folks play pickleball on the courts next to where I was playing tennis. As an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys many sports, I wanted to give this game a try. Several pickleball players that I spoke with mentioned that it's much less physically taxing than tennis. Friends have also encouraged me to participate in this popular sport. Several years ago, I became a Disk Golf enthusiast after purchasing two Disk Golf sets from Amazon as gifts for relatives. After joining them as a "newbie" on the disk golf course, I ordered another set for myself and became a regular on our local course. It's important to note that this professional Jonapar pickleball set is USAPA approved. The set includes two high quality pickleball paddles, two outdoor balls (yellow), two indoor balls (orange), two replacement over-grips, and a sturdy carry bag that holds everything neatly and securely. The well-made paddles are lightweight, and the grips are comfortable. The paddles have a unique, interior honeycomb construction featuring fiberglass and polypropylene. I am anxious to get out on the pickleball court and see for myself how this paddle composition affects ball velocity and direction. I am looking forward to updating this review once I get out on the court, get a feel for the game and test some paddle action. Just the thought of learning and engaging in a new outdoor sport makes me smile on this cold and rainy day! Great value for the money at $50. As I have told my children many times, any exercise equipment that gets your body moving is well worth the cost. It's a terrific investment in achieving or maintaining good health. This is a great pickleball beginner or starter kit. You get everything you need for a friend and you to get going. I like the included case. It's well made, portable and holds everything that comes with the kit. You get 4 balls and two grip tapes that are handy for when you need to re-grip your handles. A lot of kits don't include the tape, so depending on how much you play it could come in handy sooner rather than later. The paddles themselves feel solid, lightweight but substantial at the same time. I like the modern design and they feel good in the hand and I've had no complaints so far using them. Overall, a great kit and highly recommend it for anyone getting into the sport or someone that needs a more complete set.

Great beginner set! The rackets have a slightly textured paddle surface, smaller lightly cushioned grip, and are medium weight. However, they have poor shock absorption causing vibrations, medium paced shots, and mediocre graphics. The set includes a quality, durable nylon zippered case for the two rackets and balls and overall is a good quality for a value priced set. It also included grip tape with the set.

My wife and I have about 60 minutes total of pickleball experience now, half with this set, so I can't give a detailed compare/contrast against other racquet sets but so far so good. I dinked a few times, I think. Some other guys in the condo we were staying at wanted to drag me out for a real game but it's not quite time for that yet. Glad to have this set, and I'll wait for more experience before thinking about spending more on equipment. I need a new driver first!
