I spent a great deal of time reading the reviews and most complained of battery life however my kids have their hoovers now for 2 wks, I wanted to wait and test them out completely. They battery life lasted once its fully charged for 1he and 45 mins. That's more than enough play time incorporated with other activities. I'm pleased with this purchase and more so my kids.

When we bought the hoover board we didn't know ow what to expect. Well I gotta say it's really fun to ride. The battery life last long.. It's pretty easy to balance yourself. If a dad can do a kid sure can because they pick up faster than we do.. lol My daughter loves her hoverboard..

Kids love it. Easy to learn. Cool lights. Can go fast (8+ miles per hour). Important tip: you must calibrate the device before its first use. If you don’t do this, it will shake and will be impossible to ride. I think the bad reviews here are from people who didn’t calibrate at all or didn’t do it correctly. The calibration steps are very simple and it will only take a minute, so carefully follow the instructions on the sheet in the box before attempting to use the device. Other useful info: Instructions specify that ideal ride occurs with riders weights up to150 lbs, but the board would take up to 200 lbs. Also battery should be charged until the LED light on the power charger turns green from red , and you need to unplug it once it’s green to prolong battery life. Finally, we found the hover board to work best inside of our house on our tile floors. While it works outside, you do feel the bumps in the sidewalk and road and the kids didn’t like that too much. Overall, a great toy and the kids have been using it every day.

The board itself is heavy and good value. My kids love it and the lights are super cool. First time charging it was good but now it seems like the light on it never turns green after a couple hours to let you know it’s fully charged. Which is annoying! But over all it’s a good board just wished the charging thing would work correctly. I know you don’t want to over charge or under charge so I try to just stick to the two hours it says but the light never turns green to say it’s charged after two hours and I did leave it for longer then 2 hours and it still didn’t change. I wish the battery lasted a lot longer maybe it’s just Bc my kids have been on it a lot but seems they are waiting for it to charge more of the day then they are riding it. So idk about these battery’s. Seems like they send them with crappy batteries or something. It’s over alll a great product just wish the battery issue was better. Specially when you pay this amount for something.

Update: my previous review stated the hoverboard didn't work, which at first it didn't and for a few days of doing exactly what the instructions said, nothing worked to get it calibrated and able to use. We had the hoverboard in its box ready to return with label and all and after deciding to wait another day bc the line at the drop-off was too long to wait in that day, my husband researched how to troubleshoot hoverboards and somehow got it working so now very relieved my son has his Christmas gift working and I don't have to bother with returning it anymore! Happy!

I bought this for my daughter for her birthday in early March. She loved it! She rode it all the time kept it charged, Now battery won’t hold a change for longer then 2-3 minutes and shuts off. It’s just now been 3 months. And now warranty is up? Would not recommend
