I have tried SO many hair oils and I continue to come back to this one. I have medium to thick hair and kept finding that the oils I bought either did nothing or were too heavy and made my hair look greasy. This one is just right. It goes on easily for dried or wet hair and doesn't leave my ends clumped or heavy. I recommend after washing hair to towel dry, spread one pump of this between your hands, and then work from the middle of your hair down. This Elixir is thick like the john Frieda serum and I believe it's meant to use on dry hair and the serum is meant to be used on damp hair. I have 4C low porosity transitioning hair and this product rehydrates my hair nicely. I've been on a hair journey looking for products to add hydration and moisturizer to my hair and I'm glad to finally find something that works at a great price. I love this product, just a few drop on wet hair to detangle and brush. However, what is up with the high pricing. Price used to be around 8$ now is at 26$ ???? Ridiculous!!!

Finally a hair oil that works for me. I’ve wasted so much money on expensive hair oils that weighted my hair down and made my scalp itchy. This oil is great for my color treated, thick hair! Just a little bit on my wet hair is all that’s needed, and after drying and flat ironing, my hair is nice and smooth and frizz free! I have thick wavy Caucasian hair. I wash my hair at night (with john frieda shampoo/cond). After showering and towel drying my hair, I put two pumps of this serum in my hair and brush it thru. I also add 2 pumps of Paul Mitchell skinny serum (or Sally beauty generic version) and brush thru my hair. Then I sleep on my wet hair. In the morning when it's dry (and sporting crazy bed head) I run my flat iron thru my hair--and my hair is the softest, most loveliest hair I have EVER had using this combo. I have curly hair and I add a drop in my hands just to go over the ends. When it’s too frizzy I just rub in my hands and wipe a bit over my hair. Be careful.. a little does a lot. Definitely helps with frizz when you add when your hair is wet.
