My daughter loves monster trucks in a way I do not fully comprehend. She is a petite 2.5 and this toy is perfect for her level of development. It is obvious that a lot of thought & care went into the design of it. The bolts and wrench are just the right size, and the various ways you can count things (one engine, one wrench, two green parts, two front/back/side wheels, two blue parts, three body parts, four wheels, five bolts) are helping her learn to count. it is just challenging enough that she doesn’t get bored taking it apart and putting it back together. When it’s put together it is a fun truck to play with, built from sturdy plastic that can stand up to repeated drops and collisions. It has held her interest for a much longer time than many toys do, and she enjoys it so much that she often asks for it when it is put away and she can’t see it to be reminded of it. the only possible improvement I can imagine would be if it came with a case or box to store the parts and wrench in when she isn’t playing with it, because the half-box it came in is not suitable to keep for that purpose. but it really doesn’t need it so it doesn’t bother me that that was not included. best 15 bucks i’ve spent in a long time.
