I got this last minute for a friend visiting for the week and it actually worked out great! I got the full size one and had put it in my living room. A full sized bed gives your guest enough room and comfort without being overwhelmingly big in smaller spaces. I didn’t experience any leaking, although after the first day, it may seem like it’s lost air. But that’s due to the stretching of the air mattress itself. So just add more air to it and whatever your preference is as far as it being really firm or softer and you’re good to go! My friend slept very comfortably on it, and she was surprised it was an air bed! After putting the sheets and pillows on, who can tell it’s an air bed?? Honestly, this looks great for any guest room! For the price, I think it’s a great deal too. And since it is a raised air mattress, it worked out for my friend who’s 5’9 and she’s not feeling the floor… My pup has also been jumping all over it and spinning in circles on it, and there have been no issues with leaking or any kind of damage. ... show more

Wow — this purchase was certainly a big mistake. Amazon lists the manufacturer of this mattress as Beautyrest, and says that it is covered by a One Year Warranty. Both of these points are repeated in several places on the page. So on the strength of the Beautyrest brand and the assurances of a One Year Warranty, I purchased this mattress. After less than six months, and only 10—15 nights of use, the mattress began leaking air. We discovered a small split along one of the seams which indicates a clear failure of material, workmanship, or both. It was only after I contacted Beautyrest about a warranty replacement that I was informed that the product is not made, sold, or supported by Beautyrest at all — instead it is made by Express Beds / Boyd Sleep, a company in Missouri who has simply licensed the Beautyrest brand name. When I contacted Express Beds / Boyd Sleep about the issue, they informed me that due to the sales date being more than four months past, the best they could offer was to sell me another mattress for $79.50. When I asked about the promised One Year Warranty, mentioned several times on the Amazon product page, they said there was an insert in the packaging that detailed the terms of the warranty, and that after four months I was only entitled to a discount, not a refund or replacement. Now, I realize that products are manufactured under licensed brand names all the time. However, this is typically disclosed somewhere in the sales material. But more troubling is that this product is being sold with repeated assurances that it is backed by a One Year Warranty, and then only after purchase and delivery, the terms of that warranty are changed via a package insert. The insert claims a Three Year Warranty in big print, which sounds nice, but it only covers full replacement value within the first four months. This bears no resemblance to the promised warranty the product was sold with. Based on that alone, I would encourage you to spend your mattress dollars elsewhere. But what about the mattress itself? Is it comfortable? If it didn’t leak air, would I recommend it? Well, no – and here’s why: See how they illustrate that the mattress has three air chambers? That much is true. But in reality, the Edge Chamber is a a good 3 or 4 inches taller than the two interior chambers. And no amount of fussing with the air pressure in each chamber will even it out. The effect is that you feel like you’re sleeping in a soup bowl. The mattress is nowhere near as flat as depicted in the photos. It is really just a poorly designed and built product. We should have returned it right away for this reason alone, but since we had a memory foam mattress topper that we weren’t using, we put that on top and it worked pretty well to somewhat even out the soup bowl effect. For the sake of convenience, we chose to keep the mattress despite its flaws. Big, big mistake. At the end of the day, the net result is that I will purchase a replacement mattress elsewhere, and I will never again trust the Beautyrest name. ... show more

I did return this before opening it, although I think it would have been a good choice in the wide, wide field of inflatable mattresses. Reviewers mention it is comfortable, and the air pump is external, which seemed to me like a better idea than an embedded hard thing in a giant balloon. Most people highlighting leaks, which are a part of the deal with an air mattress, showed images of leaks around an internal (embedded) pump. I could be wrong about all of this, but for me it made more sense for it to be a separate item. This mattress profile was supposed to be 15", which would allow you to put a topper on it for warmth and then a deep pocket sheet. More high profile might be more comfortable, but you still have to top and sheet it if you have a guest, so I went with this instead as a compromise. However, I have two cats, and in the time it took them to deliver the mattress, I had read some further reviews that mentioned there could be inflatable mattresses specifically for pet households. I just knew my cats were going to puncture it (not intentionally, but they are curious and hey, who could blame them?) if I had kept it. My husband and I decided it would be more economical to crash on our kid’s apartment floor than to pay exorbitant hotel rates, and was that ever right! This is a great product. It’s really comfortable, easily supporting our combined >300 lb weight, and with the included pump inflates and deflates in a few minutes. When you’re done, it folds up into a small tote that you can easily carry on a plane or store in a closet to use another time. And you can use the money you saved on the hotel to go to museums, shows and a nice restaurant—or buy your kid some groceries! ... show more

I use it often and loved it but after four months it started loosing air. I couldn’t detect where the leak came from or why it was happening. Now it remains deflated.
