Very minimal usage with an iPhone 8 and 12. The legs are sturdy but the part that connects the legs to the phone mount didn’t hold up for long. I don’t suggest buying this if you want something to last for many years, I’d suggest purchasing another small tripod with fixed legs.

I love this thing! They were out of stock on the website but when I came on Amazon they had them in stock. I ordered right away and received it within days. I use this for my iPhone 8 for slow mo videos and this thing is nice. Is able to hold with my case around my phone as well.

It's OK. I bought it for the flashlight mount since Joby no longer makes their Blade flashlight, which I absolutely loved. I was disappointed because the legs here are much shorter, and not magnetic. The flashlight clamp is not very tight of a grip, so it wiggles a bit. That could be better. I did not like the design of the smartphone mount. Overall, the kit just didn't seem like a good value for the $25 price tag. I did find that you can pop apart the legs if you pull hard enough, so I was able to swap the legs on this unit with the magnetic legs from my old Joby Blade flashlight, and much happier with it now, but again seems like a waste of money, even considering that I do plan to use the 1/4" threaded camera mount too. ... show more

The Joby product line is confusing. There's Gorilla pods, grip tight, 325...names, features, numbers. I ended up buying this starter kit. It works, Joby is fun, I like the bendable legs. The elastic holder seems reasonably sturdy. If you don't need all the connectors definitely get one of the other kits. This one comes with the several different connectors. The only one I needed, the phone holder, uses an elastic band to clip the phone in place. It works for now but I can imagine the elastic wearing out after awhile. It looks like you can get a Joby 325 for $10 used from Amazon that has a metal spring rather than elastic. I would go with that if I were buying again. * EDITED: One of the little ball joints broke on me under a month of use, it cracked and now the leg is wobbly. Ouch. Changing to 1 star, not fan. Also the logo rubbed off. Wondering if this is one of those knockoffs I've heard about being sold on Amazon where it's actually a fake product. Returning this one * ... show more
