The product and does what it is supposded to do and a nice tool to have in the kitchen! I had a hard time filling it only because it was my first time using one of these. I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong so I wrote into Customer Service to ask for some help. Cerine was fabulous and not only was very prompt in her reply, but answered my questions and gave me clear and specific instructions over email. I followed up with one more questions and again, she replied quickly and resolved my issues with ease. Great for ligting coals and Pellets

this is a good torch. substantial feel to it and a larger base to support it. the lock is a great feature, love that I can lock it & unlock it while holding it without fumbling. the knob on the back turns easily to adjust the flame. two small issues I've found but can work with them. 1. the flame adjustment knob is also how you turn off the torch. 2. when filling it with the butane it allows butane to leak out around the fill tip. followed directions to the letter to fill it & no matter what I did it would leak during filling. otherwise it's a good torch with a steady base. UPDATE: after trying to fill the torch again, the leak of butane was worse than the first time & when I gave up I could hear a hiss coming from the fill stem. I reached out to the company by email they responded in less than 24 hours. sent me a you tube link to view and see if I was possibly doing something wrong & stated they will take care of the issue confirming that customer service is a top priority. I was also told that if there was still a problem they would happily send me a new torch. my husband & I went to try again while following the video (which I had been doing it correctly all along) we even filled a lighter to insure the butane cans were not faulty. they were not. Bottom line let customer service know nothing worked, so they sent out a new torch right away. it arrived overnight! haven't tried the new torch yet will do that tomorrow. Another great thing I communicated with the same person from start to finish. Unlike so many companies that you reach out to & you end up with communication from sometimes multiple different people. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A GOOD TORCH WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IS THE TORCH FOR YOU!

This product is great for starting fires if you have wood heat. Someone recommended I use a torch and I tried two different products. I was concerned about this product because I must’ve done something wrong on the third refill because it stopped working. However, the company completely supported their product, and now that I have this one again it is far better than cheaper versions… Much better heat and power. I’m really glad they worked with me on this. This is the one I grab for starting fires now. Sounds like I should be trying out for cooking as well :-). My biggest advice, however, is read the instructions when it comes to refilling. Overfilling it will compromise its function.

I liked this torch at first, except for a problem filling it. Some defrect in the filling assembly or deformity of the filling spout allowed liquid butane to spill out, run down the sides of the torch and freeze my fingers. Had there been an ignition source, I might have been enveloped in a ball of flame. In retrospect, I should have returned it right then, but I hoped the problem might be soved with a different can of the butane. I have had great service from Amazon in the past when returning defective items. Unfortunately, when I refilled the torch for the second time, on day 35 (five days past the Amazon deadline) the igniter stopped working. The Amazon ad for the unit touts a "36 Month Warranty!" so I thought 'no problem'. Wrong! In seeking a remedy, I was advised to contact the seller. The link to their store contained no service link that I could find. I tried posting a question to seek redress, but the only solution offered was to post an unfavorable review and hope that someone would reach out to me. So, here it is. I have a shiny new torch that is great when it works except for the potentially deadly butane leak, and cannot get warranty support from either the seller or Amazon. I use it to light our wood stove, so lighting the torch with a match is an impractical solution. A look at my many past reviews will reveal only a single negative one, so I am no chronic complainer. I am now shopping for alternatives at Walmart, whose customer service I can access at any time.
