I installed this with my daughter (29). It was our first electrical project together. She loved this lamp and asked if we could get it. I said only if she was going to help install it. First I'll discuss assembly & installation. Then I'll discuss the lamp. Assembly took about two hours. The instructions get a solid 1/5 stars. It came with two sets of instructions. I'm not sure either were for this particular model or for a similar model. The single sheet was useless. The color instruction booklet was better but still took some contemplation. JKLX, if you read this, please have someone redo your instructions. You are already spending money on color printing. Better instructions would be really helpful. There are different sized tubes for the top and for between the wheels. The shorter ones go between the wheels. Each top tube is built from two identical tubes. The odd tubes go between the wheels. This part was not straightforward. Assembly is straightforward once I figured out what goes where. It is all very logical and makes sense. The design engineer on this did a fantastic job. The tubes are wide enough for the wires to pass through easily. The wires are long enough but not too long. The gauge of the wire is pleasantly robust. I was apprehensive about wiring 8 sets of lights together (each wheel is made of 4 separate units that all wire together) but it all worked perfectly the first time which neither my daughter nor I were actually expecting. The screws all fit perfectly. Overall, assembly could only be improved with better instructions. Considering I'll be looking at this for the next 20 years, installation is only a moment I'll forget about in the next few months. The lamp itself is really nice. Everything is a solid matte black and very evenly coated everywhere. It's also cool that there are other lamps in this series of various different sizes. I ordered a smaller single-wheel design to go in the same area of my house. They complement each other very nicely. One thing to know, this is super bright! I went from an 8-lamp fixture to this monster which has 36 bulbs. Granted, I upgraded to LED lights so this actually uses less electricity but it is so bright. My next project is to install a dimmer because the entry area of my house looks like a runway. If you like the look, it is done very well. It feels a lot more industrial or medieval than it does rustic. If you're going for wagon-wheel rustic, this isn't for you. If you like castles, this is for you. I love castles. They are very large. They are much larger than the generic light that came with the house. I really like that the bulbs are spread out like they are so this fixture makes a nice radiant light rather than a harsh single-origin spotlight. The mood in the area is very nice. I'm a fan. P.S. JKLX, thanks for being part of a project for me to do with my grown daughter. Most parents with adult kids know the struggles of finding things to do together. This is the best chandelier that I have brought. Oh, you will love this one and I don't have anyone coming in without telling me what a beauty this is. It is light but huge. I thought it would need a few guys to hold it up for me to connect it but no I was able to carry it by myself because it was very light but it looks like it is heavy. It is a nice statement piece that I placed in my high-ceiling area. It's a chandelier that no one will forget. It does need a lot of bulbs though and it doesn't come with the bulbs and it's pricy but for what you get it's so worth it. It didn't take long for me to assemble and install it as well. Oh this chandelier is on another level. Such a stunner, it is big! It is heavy so plan on more than 1 person helping you. Definitely looks amazing with high ceilings and lights up the room. Highly recommend it!
