I picked up this JJC Cold Shoe Mount Adapter to use with my DJI Mic Mini, and it’s been an excellent addition to my gear. The build quality is solid, with sturdy metal construction that feels like it will last for years. The fit is precise, holding the mic securely without wobble or looseness. The 1/4” screw integration makes it incredibly versatile — I’ve used it with my camera cage, tripod, and even a small tabletop stand with zero issues. It’s lightweight, but doesn’t feel cheap, and installation takes seconds. This adapter is one of those small but essential accessories that makes your setup more professional and more reliable. One of the few drawbacks of the DJI Mic 2 is how the receiver's cold shoe mount offers no way to "snug it up" and hold it in place. This is generally not a problem when the receiver is attached directly to my camera's hot shoe. BUT if I use this receiver with a cage that has a cold shoe, the receiver just flops around...and can even fall out of the cold shoe. This adapter is the solution to that problem. Not only can you screw it tight and in place on any cold shoe, but it snugly connects with the receiver. It also has a hole for a 1/4" thread, so you can put it on a tripod if you like. (NOTE: There are no electrical components to this adapter. You'll need to use a cable to attach it to your camera's mic jack...which is not a problem for me. As I said, I'm attaching it to a cold shoe anyway!) I'm relieved to have this adapter in my DJI Mic 2 bag. Now I know I can SECURELY attach the receiver to any cold shoe and not worry about it flopping around or falling out of the cage. Incidentally, they also make one for the original DJI Mic. Oddly enough, the DJI Mic connection to this adapter is slightly bigger than the DJI Mic 2. So make sure you have a DJI Mic 2 (not the original DJI Mic) so you get the right size. It's worth it!

Feel like I overpaid for this tiny piece of plastic, but it does its job. It does make the mic stick up quite a bit higher, and it can't be stored with the mics. So that means it either stays on my camera, but it could break or snap in my bag. I like that it's not as fiddly as the original clip, but I miss how low profile the original was, and that it stored in the case.
