I live in a rural area where people often dump unwanted pets. In the trees around my house is a semi-to-fully feral cat colony that I am able provide care to, thanks to a local Trap-Neuter-Release program. Over time I have made or purchased several cat houses for them, to be placed outside under tarps, or in an outbuilding. I even have a few in my garage, where this little Jiupety house ended up. I placed this house on my patio initially to allow the cats to get used to it as they came up for feeding time. Two cats liked it immediately, but my tuxedo tabby has a house in the front yard, so the dark torti pictured ended up claiming this house. She likes to sleep in the garage, so now she has a nice little house instead of a padded cardboard box. She did not, like most cats, like the wind flap at first, but she soon got accustomed to it and would freely enter and exit through it. This small house stood up well to a couple of rain showers before I moved it inside. The interior remained dry and the water beaded and drained off the roof. It is pretty sturdy given the construction materials. It did not tolerate a cat trying to climb on it for too long, but that is not, of course, its purpose. The torti sleeps in it on a regular basis, and I am pretty sure I have observed her daughter in it as well. They are not large cats and like to curl up close, and the house is just large enough to accommodate two smallish (6-7 lbs) cats that like to cuddle. I would not recommend this house be exposed to heavy rain or windy storms. It tolerated rain well, but would probably blow over and let water enter via disturbed seams. It assembled easily with reasonable attention given to correctly lining up the velcro strips. If it needs to be stored, it folds down compactly and easily. It is also easy to clean with a cloth or wipes. The provided pad was pretty supportive, so I left it inside instead of replacing it. After three-plus months of use, it still looks dusty-new and the padding is still poofy. Overall, a very nice house for indoor / sheltered use for pets or ferals.

The whole thing goes together with Velcro, so it's easy to take apart and put up. It's thick padding for walls but when our cats and dog lean against it, it kind of flattens then pops back up when they move.

This is such a great house for your cat or little dog to hang out anytime. It's also great for strays or the neighborhood cat who gets locked out during a storm. In my area it seems like there's always a cat that shouldn't be out in the weather conditions or is, or that's hungry so having something for that semi emergency use is great, without putting it in front so long that any cat thinks it's their new home. Aside from the included heating pad, it's just as simple to get a cooling pad at any pet store or here on Amazon where I found a great one, good size, for a really good price last year. But then it can be used the same way, only it helps cool them in high heat. It's made well and will stand up to a few storms and last awhile if it's out in normal weather. Good value for the cost

I ordered this because I live in an apartment complex that has a lot of stray cats. We actually took one in ourselves, but he stays inside. I thought this would be perfect for the kitties that hang out around our back patio. The weather is still having mood swings, so we never know when we will have cold or hot weather right now. I set this out back a couple of days ago under the eave so that maybe it wouldn't get so wet when it rains. The whole thing is assembled using velcro that is sewn onto the pieces. It also looks like there may be places around the exterior to stake it down so the wind won't blow it away. I currently have it on cement, so I don't have the ability to stake it down. It has two flaps in the front to help decrease the wind if it is blowing and also help keep the rain from blowing into it. It seems to be sturdy. It's is a softer material, so it won't take anything being place on top of it. I would compare it to a collapsible pet carrier but a tiny but sturdier. I would recommend this for indoor and outdoor use. I will update my review if it doesn't hold up outside.

Update, our feral mamma cat had her 6 babies in this house on our back porch. She's allowing us to look as long as we feed her and don't touch them. ❤️ Easy to put together, it says waterproof but I will keep it in my carport just in case. It's not sturdy enough for a cat to climb on, but I don't think it would crush if someone were to try. It did take my kittys a couple of days and some cat nip spray before they braved climbing in, I think the flaps scared them at first, now they are tucked out of the way so the cats can see inside and all is good.

It's very cute and suuuuuper easy to put together. This little house is held together with a bunch of velcro. It's lightweight and the material seems waterproof. I would say you'd need to add something heavy (maybe some rocks?) or tie it down if you didn't want it to move around outside and it was windy out. The front has curtains to help with the wind blowing in and the whole thing is somewhat insulated. It would depend on your climate and the season as to weather you'd want to insulate this a bit more or put this inside something else. I haven't tried this outside yet, and I am feeding a few feral cats, but my own indoor cats love it and took to it right away. It is easy to take apart and put together if you need to clean it in the washer/dryer. All in all, it's a good value and I'll update as I know more over time.
