I was a little concerned after reading some of the reviews, but needed to replace a poor choice rug purchase. This does have a soft texture, a little cushion for walking, and will be very easy to vacuum. The earlier purchase couldn't withstand my Shark. The color is true to online picture, is non skid, laid flat almost immediately after putting it on the floor. I bought the rug and runner, and purchased a second runner so it would cover my full hallway. I have a pet that slips on the laminate and tile flooring. He loves these, too. BTW, definitely not painted, but low pile. Perfect for my needs. Updated 1/6/2013. I still have these rugs and still love them. Despite the caution that they were not washable, I had to try, and was willing to take it as a loss if unsuccessful. I have thrown all of them into the agitator washing machine on towel or bulky settings, and they definitely survived repeated washings. I have an old dog and accidents happen often on those rugs, and spot cleaning won't cut it. One of the runners is showing some minor edge wear from the machine wash, but they are still in great condition. I will probably buy another set since they have performed so well, and these will eventually need to be replaced. At first I think I put them in the dryer, but have just been removing them from the washer and draping them over dining chairs to dry. I know I'm pressing my luck with machine washing. I'm pretty impressed. They retain their color and continue to lie flat when dry.

The beautiful rug went perfect in the seating area of my office. Flattened nicely after about a day. The material seems more of an outside/office rug. Not soft enough for a living/family room. It also has this "goldish shimmer" to the rug. I don't know if I described that right lol....but I LOVE IT!

Other reviews are misleading. Okay if you like walking on stiff burlap. I ordered taupe multi color 4 x 6 to replace my current one in the living room 6x9 from another company that is great but a darker color, soft and wonderful. I've had rugs on my outdoor patio that are softer to walk on than this one. To be fair, I only unfolded one section so far to see how it looks and feels. Now I understand why reviews say it doesn't smooth out; it's a very rough, hard stiff texture. This one is only ten dollars cheaper than the ones I have from another company but a world of difference. I like the color and size. I may keep it to use in my garage where we walk less often in bare feet. My cement patio is smoother than this rug. I guess some like that feeling.

Bought this for the bathtoom.buy ended up using it in my kitchen, it's so soft and durable..easy to.sweet, I have not washed it yet. Buy I'm in love with it an will be buying the smaller piece that goes along with it

This rug is thin and comes in a box folded up. I let it set unrolled for a couple days then laid it out. After a day , I started to readjust it as it stretched a little. I love this if I had family with a walker because it’s so thin it would easily roll on it.

It came folded tightly in a box. A medium to small box. Very strange but it’s because the rug is heavy every inch and is supposed to flatten out on smooth floors over a couple days. It’s been over a day but not fully settled yet. The pictures show the creases from where it was folded. I bought and under rug non slip mesh that’s supposed to hold the rug in place instead of sliding around when stepped on. However I realized the under rug anti slip mesh was preventing it from settling so today we pulled it out from under and set aside until the rug settles. For now the crease lines are an eye sore as seen in the pictures so still waiting. Overall the rug is …..ok. Will suit mosts needs I think. It’s pattern is abstract with a worn and faded look. Wife loves it though. The seller reached out to me and went above and beyond in the matter of the creases in the rug. The crease’s unfortunately are still there but reviewed three different ways to flatten them out. I’ve yet to try them but that still was a good gesture. I appreciate their promptness. The rug seems durable still after two weeks and is doing fine. The creases are a thing only myself seems to notice with anal retention I assume. Overall we are happy with the seller, the manufacturer and the rug itself.
