[2] Measure Before Purchase:Before installation, please carefully measure your garage door track grooves to confirm compatibility: Track width ≥ 8 mm (≈5/16 inch),Track height ≥ 1.5 mm [3] Identify the Grooves: Locate the grooves in your garage door track where the T-ends of the seal strip will fit. [4] Insert the Seal Strip: Starting from one end of the door, insert the T-ends of the seal strip into the grooves of the track. [5] Slide the Seal Strip: Carefully slide the seal strip along the track until you reach the other end. Tip: Apply soapy water or lubricant to both the track and the seal before sliding. This reduces friction, makes installation easier, and prevents damage or tearing. [6] Adjust and Trim if Necessary: Once in place, close the garage door and check for gaps. If needed, adjust the position or trim the seal to length with scissors or a utility knife. This was exactly what I needed, as the T-track width was truly 5/16" and fit securely in the tracks. For a 16' garage door, this is definitely a 2-to-3-person job as you need one person carefully feeding the track and another couple people gently pulling the product down the door line. I used a can of garage door track lubricant to spray the T-track about a foot or two at a time and it worked great. Installation took about 15 to 20 minutes. The product itself has good thickness and flexibility and the inner tubing helps to maintain the prober shape. With the garage door closed, the seal appears to be nice and tight, no gaps or light coming through. ... show more

The garage door seal material is thick but easy to manipulate and threaded through my existing track that had been brushed clean and lubricated with silicone spray. Had the help of another person to hold the seal while I advanced it through the track. Fit and length were great for my 16 foot wide door with several inches of material to spare. Excellent product. Easy to install and looks great. The material is thick and well made in comparison to others and think it will last a long time. I suggest as everyone else s clean track with soapy water and have a helper this will make the job much easier. Highly recommend.

The Jin&Bao garage door bottom weather stripping works exactly as advertised—no real issues once installed. It creates a solid seal, keeps out drafts, bugs, and water, and feels durable enough to last through some serious weather. 🧰 Installation Warning: Here’s where things can get tricky: installing it into the track. The first third slides in easily, but after that, it gets harder and harder to push through. By the halfway point, you’ll be wondering if it’s even the right size. 💡 Pro Tip: A neighbor gave me a great tip—use a little marine grease in the track. Game changer. Once I did that, the rest of the install went smoothly. You could probably also use WD-40, silicone spray, or dish soap, but marine grease worked perfectly for me and made the job 100% easier. 🔧 Final Fit: Once it’s in, it seals well and stays put. Just be patient during installation and use some kind of lubricant to avoid frustration. ✅ Pros: Solid seal against elements Sturdy, high-quality material Works as expected once installed ❌ Cons: Installation can be frustrating without lubrication No lubricant or install tips included in packaging 🧾 Bottom Line: If you're planning to install this weather strip, do yourself a favor and lube the track first. Excellent product and very easy to install. I bought a 20ft for my two 8ft doors. I removed the old dried and dirty seals. Cleaned the tracks with a wire brush. Then cleaned the tracks more with soapy water and did not dry. The seal easily slid into the tracks. One hand guiding the seal into the tracks and the other hand pulling/pushing it across the door. A ONE man job. From start to finish it took less than 20 mins per door and they look great! The one thing I didn't consider was there were only 2 end plugs provided in a 20ft roll and I need 4. But, the second door without the end plugs doesn't even seem to need them. I may try to buy some end plugs separately. ... show more

Pretty decent replacement but the installation was incredibly difficult. Most reviews tell you that its a two person job...more like 3 people. One in the front, one in the middle and one at the end. Also depending on your original seal you may have to reprogram your garage door opener. Nothing extremely difficult but a disclaimer would have been nice. Reason for the 3 star is due to the fact that part of it was crushed when packing and made it more difficult to install. ... show more

Garage door seal was as advertised. A little hard to pull 16 feet so I clamped a vice grip on the seal and pulled it through with a ratchet strap Lubed generously with silicone wd40. First time down I had to put a little pressure on door to keep it from going back up. After that it worked fine with no adjusting. I recommend it. ... show more

Installation was impossible due to insufficient instructions. Firstly this requires TWO persons! Secondly the instructions are partly obscured because the seller thought it would be smart to use a different color for parts deemed more important but those very colors made it very difficult to see for users who are color blind! Always use black on white for instructions! Thirdly how exactly should the soapy water be applied? If with a spray bottle then please say so! I used a bucket of soapy water and drenched the gasket but it didn’t seem to help much and dried out quickly. I gave it two stars because the quality of materials is very good. It’s too bad they didn’t adequately test market their instructions! A picture or two could have potentially made all the difference. ... show more
